The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) it's the greatest movie of all time.
The End of the F***ing World (2017)
Natural Born Killers written by Daniel Clowes and Directed by Terry Zwigoff or Wes Anderson
It's a more contemporary and youthful take on all those violent yet romantic road movies like 'Natural born killers' and 'Bonnie and Clyde' but also IMO the show take a lot of things from indie comic books (as the one the whole show it's based of, of course) like 'Ghost World' (And in consequence the Terry Zwigoff film) or actually any other Daniel Clowes comic book and if you're not much into comic books it may remind you the style of the Wes Anderson films, especially 'Moonrise Kindgdom' just that a little more violent and foul-mouthed.
Binged all episodes and I think is the best way to watch it (Or maybe with a little pause just in the middle after ep. 4) And I can say it's good, surprisingly good actually.
The music is amazing, the acting is good, it have some beautiful shots, some really well done gory moments and overall the execution of the almost surreal yet not really fresh concept it's amazing: The editing, the use of the music and somehow stunning cinematography make this dark comedy TV show much more than a simple funny TV show.
A little gem of british television that is certainly not only for teenagers but certainly much more enjoyable and relatable if you're one. Recommended. 8/10
I finish Mindhunter a few days ago and i'm still dazed by how amazing it was (And also, completely obsessed with THAT Led Zepellin song).
David Fincher's new series it's an amazing exercise on screen writing, character development and style.
Mindhunter may be talking about the most disturbing crimes and as a whole it's really psychologically unnerving but it feels great because it's so gorgeously shot and well directed that you doesn't even care. Also, Mindhunter explore and examine this whole serial- killer culture that is so popular in US but care and trust so much about writing that does that (almost) without violence, not even a punch is seen in the whole series after THAT scene on the first minutes of ep. 1, and well, that's nothing but remarkable.
And if you're afraid if the show it's slow, let me tell you that the show it's actually very slow, but if you didn't fall in love with the show after that amazing montage of our protagonists traveling at the sound of "Fly like an eagle" and under Fincher's wonderful direction, you probably shouldn't keep watching it.
As a summary I can say that Fincher and the whole team of writers and directors created a ten-episode season of pure tension and 'psychopath after psychopath' they deliver every single episode with a lot of style, great music choices, great acting and overall: Great filmmaking.
I can't wait for the 2nd season, Recommended. 9/10
