Black Panther (2018)
Hilarious Senseless Technology No One is talking about. Lazy or Rushed tech writing?
GADGET 1 : Half of Okeye's body appearing on T'Challa hand. She wasn't even a hologram.
GADGET 2: Shoe pads turn into sneakers? Come on.
Gadgets are senseless, maybe worse than some of James Bonds gadgets. Movie doesn't explain the shoe pads and Okeye appearing TChalla-Wkabi's palms. I'm guessing alien technology. But even if it is alien technology, its really bad. I can't see those ideas being used in others sci-fi movies.
VISUAL EFFECTS: After watching SPIDER-MAN VS VULTURE and THOR VS SURTUR I was expecting to see something amazing.
Instead I saw average fight scenes. I saw full action sequence of T'Challa flip in the air in slow motion during bridge scene. It looked as cheesy as it did in the trailer. The Rhinos and the Black Panther purple glowing suit could have been better. This one had much more drama than action. It also got really slow in some parts. My favorite VFX scenes are the ones with Andy Serkis's (Claw).
POLITICAL INTENTIONS: The movie focuses on politics, governing and leadership. I researched and I haven't seen a Black Panther comic book series description on the Wakanda walls. But the speech was really good at the end.
DISNEY MARVEL MOVIES ARE GENERIC and sometimes too silly because they are RUSHED. Black Panther would have been the best MCU movie if Disney spent more time on it. Black Panther deserved better.
SHOULD YOU WATCH: If you and your kids are not open minded people, sensitive when it comes to political subjects that are very relative to whats going on in our country in films, I would pass on this one in my opinion.
MY REAL SCORE is 5/10. I mixed on Black Panther. Its enjoyable to watch, its not too boring and not exciting either. The message and the acting were the best parts of the movie for me.
I took out 5 points because the movie seemed rushed. Lazy technology writing and lazy visual effects was the killer.
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
An Ultimate Spider-Man movie! Better than Captain America Civil War
Another Marvel movie by Disney that I could watch over and over again. Quality in story and visuals is better than Captain America Civil War. My biggest problem with Spider-Man Homecoming was Robert Downey Jr. Some of the chemistry is cute with Peter Parker. Spider-Man Homecoming is not perfect but deserves a higher Metascore and an Oscar for Visual Effects.
Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Immature. This movie is for the kids.
Critics called PG-13 Captain America Civil War an "intellectual CBM film"?
*pfffff* THE DARK KNIGHT? WINTER SOLDIER? "The Dark Knight" is the perfect PG-13 intellectual comic book movie. CACW had too much kiddie humor, dialogue and too many one-liners, especially during fights/battles.
Its like: punch! kick! "One-Liner" throw! boom! "One-Liner," punch! "One-Liner," kick! "One-Liner," shoot! boom! "One-Liner," slam! twist! "One-liner" Some annoying one-liners during airport fight scene: 1. "You have the right to remain silent!" - Spider-Man 2. "Sorry cap this won't kill you, but it won't tickle either." - War Machine 3. "Sorry you guys I got one job here, and I gotta impress Mr. Stark so I am really sorry." - Spider-Man 4. "Alright now I am "pissed-off now." - War Machine
Intellectual? When Batman is fighting Superman, there was no talking, just an amazing fight scene. If CACW had less one-liners, silly humor and bland dialogue through out movie, I might have liked it better as a PG-13 film like WINTER SOLDIER.
Batman Vs. Superman and X-Men Apocalypse were the more intellectual comic book movies 2015. They took the stories and screenplay more seriously than Captain America Civil War.
MCU fights/choreography is too pretty and perfect. Interrupted with camera cuts every few seconds. No solid acting either. To me Marvel's villains are boring.
10/10 and 9/10 rating of Captain America Civil War is ridiculous. 4/10 and 5/10 for Batman Vs. Superman and X-Men Apocalypse is ridiculous.
My rating for this PG-13 comic book movie is 1/10.
