Bruce Dern, Owen Teague Join Josh Hartnett in Thriller ‘Inherit the Viper’
Barry Films has hired Bruce Dern and Owen Teague to join Josh Hartnett and Margarita Levieva in the independent crime thriller “Inherit the Viper,” which began production this week.

Valorie Curry, Chandler Riggs, and Dash Mihok have also joined the cast. Anthony Jerjen is directing from Andrew Crabtree’s original script. Michel Merkt (“Elle,” “Toni Erdmann”) and Benito Mueller are the producers with Wolfgang Mueller exec producing for Barry Films.

Michael Cerveris on Playing Professor Pyg on ‘Gotham’, Being Part of ‘Mosaic’, and More

From the moment of his debut on the Fox series Gotham, Professor Pyg (played with unnerving brilliance by Michael Cerveris) had most definitely made an impression. As a serial killer assassinating cops and dressing his victims in the severed heads of pigs while also wearing a pig’s head himself, Pyg is terrifying and disturbed, but also clearly the mastermind of his own twisted plan that involves Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), whether he likes it or not. During this 1-on-1 interview with Collider, actor Michael Cerveris (who also played September on Fringe and Ramses IV in The Tick) …

Stars Scott Speiser (Overkill), Brendan Hines (Superian) and Yara Martinez (Miss Lint) and executive producer Barry Josephson answered a few questions about working with Amazon, the on-set environment and more during a New York Comic Con interview with Flickering Myth.

Exclusive: The Tick creator Ben Edlund on why there’s no better time for the show to exist

Justin Cook sat down with the executive producers and cast of The Tick at New York Comic Con. The following is an excerpt from his interview with comic book/series creator Ben Edlund

Through the many forms that The Tick has taken throughout the years, one man has always stood confidently by its side — creator Ben Edlund, who developed the titular character at the age of 18. Edlund and the cast and executive producers of Amazon Prime Video’s The Tick, which debuted this past August (after a pilot release in 2016), brought the comedy series to New York Comic Con, the annual meeting place for superhero and comic book lovers on the East Coast, and barely all fit on the stage for a lively panel in front of fans of the show.

Afterwards, Edlund talked to Flickering Myth about The Tick and how with the abundance of big and small screen efforts from Marvel Studios,

‘Rick and Morty’: 12 Guest Stars Who Make Season 3 Worth Re-Watching

‘Rick and Morty’: 12 Guest Stars Who Make Season 3 Worth Re-Watching
Rick and Morty” is one of the best-looking animated series on TV. As high-concept as these travels through technicolor dreamlands and psychedelic wormholes can get, “Rick and Morty” wouldn’t be what it is without some talented performers bringing the show’s characters to life.

In Season 3, series co-creator Justin Roiland did more of the heavy lifting than ever before (including anchoring an entire episode by his lonesome). But, as usual, this now-finished season also drew on some incredible voice talent for some one-off delights. Some of these guest stars were such a natural fit for the show that it’s surprising it took this long for the show to utilize their talents. (How did two whole seasons go by before a pair of “Community” folks showed up?)

The Tick creator says there's a 5-year arc planned for the Amazon series

  • JoBlo
I've loved every iteration of The Tick, from the comic-book, to the animated series, to the first live-action show, to now the recent Amazon Prime series. While certain things change - such as tone and gore - certain things stay the same. One of those constants is The Tick's lack of backstory - save that he came from a mental institution. However, according to creator (and show's producer) Ben Edlund, in an interview... Read More...
