Storyline

Sports commentary with a comedic twist starring Dan LeBatard, his father Gonzalo, and sportswriter Bomani Jones. They satirize video clips from all sports and interview an eclectic mix of athletes, rappers and celebs. Gonzalo is the unintended star with his affinity for rap music and his old Cuban-man pronunciations of names and terms. Contrasted with Dan's witty opinions and Bomani's smooth erudition, Gonzalo has a great time poking fun at and holding his own with all the stars. Written by drlgeorge69

Smile, Bomani
31 January 2017 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Let me start with the good things about the show; the banter between Bomani, Dan, and Papi is usually entertaining. I enjoy hearing their opinions and take on whatever they are discussing. However, the following is a description on why I choose not to watch anymore. First off, I find the production of the show pretty lazy. The music is way too loud. Every time they cut to a new topic, you are blasted by a horn choir. Also, I find the graphics and slides to be aesthetically unappealing (color, font, general theme). Next, the set is really unappealing. I wish there was something more than just a still of a beach and that stupid iPad and plastic fruit. Lastly, the most unbearable part of all, I hate that stupid stone faced look Bomani and Dan keep up the ENTIRE time they are interviewing a guest. It's so rude looking. They could have Betty White talking about saving a puppy's life on and they would still be giving the :| :| face. Overall, I just find this show annoying.
