I am very disappointed with the positive ratings I am seeing. This show should be banned from Disney channel for its racism, sexism, and innumerable offensive remarks. Firstly, the portrayal of Ravi and Tiffany defines racial stereotype: Tiffany has never before seen gum or candy as her mother does not allow her, and Ravi, due to his lack of athletic ability and supposed "ugly" appearance, is unable to find a date, contrasting sharply with the white, masculine- looking Xander. Only Tiffany will date him. Portrayal of Gladdace is borderline derogatory: she is must remain single due to her "masculine" appearance- this is extremely insulting to transgenders and members of the LGBTQ. Lastly, Emma, the white girl, lacks in intelligence, leaving Xander, the white male, left with the looks and brains.
