Trivia

At the stripper bar Lenny strokes his knife and says,"I ain't afraid of a dink and a lepton." Possibly, Lenny is comparing the deaf-mute hoodlum to a lepton, an elemental sub-atomic particle of half-integer spin with no reaction to strong nuclear force. Probably, Lenny refers to the pre European Union, lowest denomination, aluminum, Greek coin. See more »

The Knot Gets Tighter
4 October 2015 | by See all my reviews

Lester is a wreck. Because everyone thinks he is harmless, he manages, for the time being, to be free from accusation. However, Molly, who lost her partner and friend, isn't so sure. She thinks something stinks. Her idiot police chief keeps interrupting her when she tries to ask questions. He has decided that the murders were committed by "drifters." Meanwhile, Lorne is creeping around. Everything with him is a non sequitur. What exactly is he up to? Then, there are two strange men who come into town. One does all the talking; the other signs. Lester has a gunshot to his hand and it is beginning to become infected. As he tries to get something at the drug store, he is again confronted by Molly. He walks away from her, but that makes him even more suspicious. Watch for two fun scenes. One is the idiot son of a big time grocer who has an agenda. The other is the closing scene on the lake. This episode is full of exposition. We'll have to wait to see where it takes us.
