'Deadwood' Cook Ralph Richeson Passes Away at Age 63

'Deadwood' Cook Ralph Richeson Passes Away at Age 63
Deadwood star Ralph Richeson, who played the bizarre cook Richardson on the hit HBO series, passed away yesterday at the age of 63 at the Palmdale Regional Medical Center. The actor's agent, Hugh Leon of Coast to Coast Talent Group, confirmed his client's passing to Deadline, revealing that he passed away on Tuesday night due to heart failure. Here's what one of the late actor's Deadwood co-stars, Jim Beaver, had to say in a moving tribute on his Facebook page.

"One of our most beloved comrades from Deadwood is gone. Ralph Richeson, an actor plucked from the crowd of background players and given the chance to create the remarkably memorable character of Richardson, the hotel flunky with the sweet spirit, died this morning in hospice. I don't think there was anyone remotely involved in the show who didn't love Ralph. He was kind, infinitely sweet, and far, far smarter than his character.

Five Recent Horror Movies You Might Have Missed (But Should See)
I hear a lot of casual horror fans talking about the lack of quality horror films in recent years... and to some extent they have a point. Studio-funded horror films seem to be less prevalent than they were three decades ago, and many mass-marketed horror films are lighter on gore, nudity, and the like than the features of yesteryear (with the obvious exception of the Evil Dead reboot). But there are still plenty of quality horror films being made – it’s just incumbent upon horror fans to look a little harder. There are a plethora of well-made horror pictures being released every year; they just aren’t all getting the mainstream attention that they deserve. In an attempt to remedy that, and shine the spotlight on some outstanding films that haven’t received a great deal of publicity, we are showcasing five titles from the past five years that may have passed you by,

#Sdcc 2013: Exclusive Artwork - Chastity Bites

Two new one-sheets for the latest flick from John V. Knowles, Chastity Bites, have arrived featuring artwork by illustrator Tim Seeley. Check 'em out!

From the Press Release

In celebration of San Diego Comic-Con 2013 (Sdcc 2013), Weirdsmobile Productions is thrilled to unleash exclusive Chastity Bites character art inspired by the feminist, ‘girl-powered’ heroine of the film Leah, played by Allison Scagliotti (“Warehouse 13’), and her virgin blood-obsessed arch nemesis Liz, played by Louise Griffiths (“The Revenant”). Created by comic book artist Tim Seeley of “Hack/Slash” fame, these designs sparked a unique collaboration between Team Chastity Bites and the popular artist after finding out about all-Geek podcast/radio show Fandom Planet’s campaign to encourage the producers of the “Hack/Slash” movie to cast Scagliotti in the lead role of Cassie (hashtag: #AllisonScag4Cassie).

Says producer and screenwriter Lotti Pharriss Knowles, "Tim Seeley obviously loves genre material and strong female characters as much as we do,
