Gal Gadot Hopes Wonder Woman 2 Will Be A Deep Dive Into Diana’s Moral Code

Thanks to the one-two punch of Wonder Woman and the recently-released (and, sadly, widely-derided) Justice League, Diana Prince of Themyscira is arguably the hero of the hour.

Even if Justice League struggled to leave much of an impression on critics – or the domestic box office, for that matter – Gal Gadot’s Immortal Warrior truly resonated with moviegoers earlier this year, when the Wonder Woman solo movie scored excellent reviews and a whopping $821 million to match.

A sequel was then floated at Warner Bros., though it wasn’t until the studio ponied up and offered writer-director Patty Jenkins a record-setting deal that Wonder Woman 2 was officially green-lit. And so, with Dave Callaham (The Expendables) now on script duties and a late 2019 release date locked in, Diana’s second big-screen adventure is beginning to fall into place.

Here’s Why Eric Roberts’ Version Of The Master Never Returned To Doctor Who

Doctor Who has been such a time-honored pillar of the TV landscape that Geoffrey Sax’s feature film, one that was initially released in ’96, is often overlooked.

Headed up by Paul McGann, who played the eighth incarnation of the beloved Time Lord, Sax’s TV movie was admittedly a bit of a flop, and failed to carve out much of an audience 20 years ago. Turns out it also heralded Eric Roberts’ first and last appearance in the Doctor Who franchise, as outgoing showrunner Steven Moffat revealed to Digital Spy that he never once considered bringing Roberts back as the Master for season 10’s show-stopping finale.

I like that TV movie and I liked him as the Master, I thought he was funny. But he’s not part… and sometimes this just happens… he’s not part, somehow, of anyone’s pantheon of Doctor Who. Not because he didn’t do

Remake For "Red Sonja"

  • SneakPeek
Millennium Media ("The Expendables") are developing a remake of the 1985 feature "Red Sonja":

"Red Sonja" was created by writer Roy Thomas and illustrator Barry Smith, as a female foil to their Marvel Comics version of author Robert E. Howard's "Conan the Barbarian".

Millennium's Avi Lerner and Joe Gatta, Cinelou's Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon will produce the new film.

Howard created female warriors 'Bêlit' and 'Valeria', for the "Weird Tales" magazine stories "Queen of the Black Coast"...

...and "Red Nails"...

...also creating character 'Red Sonya', aka 'Sonya of Rogatino', who although not a 'sword 'n sorcery' hero, carried a pistol, debuting in "The Magic Carpet Magazine" (1934).

The films of Taika Waititi

Andrew Blair Oct 27, 2017

Taika Waititi is topping the box office with Thor: Ragnarok. But if you haven't explored his back catalogue, you're really missing out.

A minor spoiler for Hunt For The Wilderpeople lies ahead (but it's something that happens very early in the film!)

After a troubled production, the second Thor film was regarded as one of Marvel Studios’ lesser movies. The character of Thor was not a big part of the Avengers movies either, and so the prospect of a third Thor film was not keenly anticipated. Then, about two years ago, Taika Waititi was announced as director, and suddenly people got excited.

This is not because Waititi was in Green Lantern, and people who were involved in that seem to try really hard to make a good superhero film, but because Waititi’s movies have been critically acclaimed across the world, and have broken box office records

‘Jean-Claude Van Johnson’ Trailer: Jean-Claude Van Damme Goes Undercover

  • The Playlist
I feel like I’ve been hearing about “Jean-Claude Van Johnson” forever by this point, so I’m kind of surprised to learn that the first season hasn’t arrived yet. At any rate, the high concept comedy literally packs a punch, and it’ll be interesting to see how Jean-Claude Van Damme pokes fun at his action hero legacy.

Created and written by Dave Callaham (“The Expendables“) and directed by Peter Atencio (“Keanu“), with Ridley Scott surprisingly among the producers, the series follows Van Damme (playing “himself”), who uses his Hollywood fame as cover for dangerous, undercover missions.

Sylvester Stallone on to Direct Creed 2

After delivering an Oscar nominated performance in Creed, Rocky himself (Sylvester Stallone) will stand in the director’s corner for the follow-up. The announcement came via his Instagram account, as the film begins pre-production.

Creed came as a surprise to many. A film linked to a dying franchise, with a relatively obscure director and an actor coming off a box office bomb, many would be forgiven for thinking the film might not pack a punch (pun very much intended). But Creed defied expectations and pumped life into a franchise that no longer seemed relevant. It landed its director, Ryan Coogler, a Marvel movie and confirmed Michael B. Jordan’s star status.

Whilst many would have liked to see Coogler return to the director’s chair, the prospect of Stallone returning to direct the franchise he created is a tantalising one. This return to old ways also bleeds through to the

Gal Gadot to Shoot WWII Thriller Ruin Before Wonder Woman 2?
Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is in talks to star in director Justin Kurzel's World War II thriller Ruin, which, if her deal is finalized, will be shot early next year, before the actress gets to work on Wonder Woman 2. Warner Bros confirmed during Comic-Con 2017 that the Wonder Woman 2 release date has been set for December 13, 2019, and with shooting on the superhero sequel not expected to happen until next summer, that gives the actress time to shoot Ruin before returning as Diana of Themyscira. Unfortunately, no details about Gal Gadot's character have been revealed at this time.

The project is set in the aftermath of World War II, and is said to be a gritty period revenge thriller in the same vein as Inglorious Basterds and Fury. The story follows a "nameless ex-Nazi captain" who wanders through the ruins of Germany following the war's end. Wanting

Creed 2: late 2018 release date confirmed

Simon Brew Nov 1, 2017

Creed 2 will be in cinemas in just over a year, it's been announced...

There’s significant progress in the land of Creed, with the news that the sequel is pressing ahead early next year, and it has a director in place.

That director is Sylvester Stallone, going behind the camera for the first time since 2010's The Expendables. He’s confirmed on his Instagram account that he’ll be helming the new film, rather than Ryan Coogler, who scored such a success with the first Creed. That said, Stallone has the small matter of four Rocky films he’s directed under his belt. He’s hardly a slouch, here.

Michael B Jordan will be back in the title role, with Dolph Lundgren appearing as Ivan Drago in the new movie.

Production begins early in 2018, and a release date for the movie has now been announced. It'll land

Rocky Creator Sylvester Stallone Will Direct Creed 2
The pieces of the puzzle for Creed 2 are really starting to fall into place now. Sylvester Stallone recently finished writing the script for the movie and it looks like the sequel is going to start shooting February 2018. Now, we know who's going to be directing the next movie in the Rocky franchise and, in a somewhat surprising yet not surprising at all announcement, Sylvester Stallone has announced that he is going to direct the movie himself.

Many had assumed that, given the success of Creed, director Ryan Coogler would return. However, he's been busy filming Black Panther for Marvel and it looks like he's not going to be able to make it back for Creed 2 in time. So Sylvester Stallone, the man who built the Rocky franchise with his blood, sweat and tears, is going to step behind the camera once again and direct this thing. That means that Stallone is going to write,

Creed 2 Finds A New Director

  • Cinelinx
First off Mark Rylance is a bum, and Sylvester Stallone deserved the Oscar for Creed. Perhaps he can win one for Creed 2! For a Supporting role, or Directing.

The Argument can be made that Ryan Coogler brought us one of, if not the, best Rocky movie to date in 2015. Creed was heartfelt and full of Rocky spirit. For 2 years now we have been waiting on news of the sequel. However due to Michael B. Jordan teaming along with Coogler for Marvel’s Black Panther, little has been known about a sequel, until now.

Rumors began swirling early on about the plot of a proposed sequel involving Adonis Creed coming face to face with the man who killed his father, Ivan Drago, originally played by Dolph Lungren. Now, Sylvester Stallone has announced via his Instagram that Creed 2 is officially on the way, with himself at the helm to bring Michael B.

Patty Jenkins praises the DC Extended Universe and its filmmaker-led approach, teases Wonder Woman 2 setting

With Patty Jenkins now officially on board the sequel to Wonder Woman, the filmmaker has been reflecting on her DC Extended Universe debut during an interview with The Toronto Sun, during which she took a moment to praise Warner’s handling of the Dceu and its filmmaker-led approach.

“There are a lot of great filmmakers around the DC universe and there are a lot of great characters,” said Jenkins. “My favourite thing about the DC universe is some of these characters have been the greatest, most original superheroes for decades. I think there’s just exciting things to be done with them ahead and lots of different people that I’m excited about seeing. All of us are very different and we’re all going to do different things. So I can’t wait to see the variety, personally.”

Jenkins also spoke about the creative freedom afforded to her by Warner Bros.,
