Blood Drive's Colin Cunningham Details the Evolution of Slink — Plus: How He Asked for (And Got) Full Frontal Nudity

Julian Slink — the race’s Master of Mayhem — at first waved off the input, steadfastly “trying to retain his integrity as an artist, to come up with something of worth that is meaningful,” says portrayer Colin Cunningham. Or at least “something of worth” as pertains a contest where the cars are fueled by ill-gotten human blood. But in this Wednesday’s

Infamous horror The Poughkeepsie Tapes set for Blu-ray and DVD release this October

Scream Factory has announced that it is set to give the infamous serial killer horror The Poughkeepsie Tapes a long overdue home-entertainment release on DVD and Blu-ray this October.

Produced in 2007 and directed by John Erick Dowdle (Quarantine, Devil, As Above, So Below, No Escape), the film tells the story of a serial killer through a series of interviews, and footage from snuff tapes he created of his victims. It was originally slated for a theatrical release in 2008 before being pulled by MGM, and received a brief VOD release in the States in 2014.

In 2001, police in Poughkeepsie, New York, made a shocking discovery — 10 bodies buried in the backyard of a residential house. Astonishingly, that was only the beginning. Inside the home, police uncovered over 800 neatly organized videotapes detailing the exploits of one man’s decade-long crime spree. The most disturbing part of the find was that the killer had filmed

The Show | The Handmaid’s Tale

The Episode | “A Woman’s Place“ (May 17)

The Performance | Moss has been so consistently amazing in Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, we were starting to fear that it would be tough to single out a particular scene or episode that would highlight her greatness. (Because she was clearly, at some point, going to wind up our Performer of the Week.)

However, Wednesday’s episode made that worry evaporate. When Offred was presented with a second chance to alert a visiting dignitary about the reality of being a handmaid in Gilead,

A Monster Calls review

Patrick Ness' A Monster Calls is brought to the screen in superb style from J A Bayona. Here's our review...

Grief is something that we all have to deal with at some point in our lives. Like a number of recent films that use fantasy conventions to process themes of mortality and emotional upheaval, A Monster Calls makes its thunderous impact feel real. The earth shakes, heavy breathing is heard, pencils roll off on their own and the rage and sadness of a little boy is made monstrous.

J.A. Bayona's third feature is adapted from the acclaimed novel by Patrick Ness, Jim Kay and the late Siobhan Dowd, and tells the story of Conor O'Malley (Lewis MacDougall), a 12-year-old boy coming to terms with his mother's long-term illness. Lizzie (Felicity Jones) has always understood him and been there for him, while his absent father (Toby Kebbell) and distant grandmother (Sigourney Weaver) have not.
