Outgoing Endemol Shine North America Co-ceo Charlie Corwin is poised to move to Imagine Entertainment in the newly created role of CEO, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.

Here’s One Direction’s ‘Perfect’ Music Video, Complete With Walking, Soccer Balls, and Tattoos

  • Vulture
This fun-as-heck! music vid, shot by Sophie Muller at New York's InterContinental Hotel, is equal parts "Anna," Rémi Gaillard, and Miami Ink. Also, as an ironic love song, it's pretty meta in a number of ways (are you listening-slash-watching, T-Swift?). Anyway, Rip, hotel rooms. (N.B.: No hotel rooms were actually harmed in the filming of this video. One hopes.)"Perfect" is 1D's second single from Made in the A.M., which is set for a November 13 release. You can pre-order that album here.

20 Problems Only People With Tattoos Will Understand

flickr.com/fbester

Getting tattooed stings a bit. Being stabbed by a bunch of tiny needles isn’t half as irritating as the public’s uninvited “feedback” on your own skin, though. Fortunately, the stigma of tattoos has very much faded, but it doesn’t mean it’s disappeared completely. Most people with visible tattoos have been in some sort of annoying situation with a blindly prejudice or frankly rude inquisitor.

Of course, tattoos are inevitably going to be looked at. If you get a great stonking phoenix on your back with galaxies for eyes and kittens living in it’s tail, you’re going to want to show it off, and anyone complaining about strangers glancing at their inked skin are twice as ignorant as the accused. It’s art, at the end of the day (well, most of it is), and if it’s on display, people will glance at it.

Your Guide to TV’s Current Tattoo Obsession

Your Guide to TV’s Current Tattoo Obsession
Keep your pawn shows, your swamp shows, your home-décor shows. I'll happily never watch anyone else house-hunt, or say yes to a dress, or have a kitchen nightmare. But dear God, please, don't take my tattoo shows away. My obsession with tattoo shows started a thousand years ago in reality TV time, with the 2005 debuts of Miami Ink and Inked. That fondness carried over to New York Ink, L.A. Ink, London Ink, even the lukewarm Tattoo Highway. And now we get to enjoy the golden era of ink shows — it's sort of a boom genre right now. Here's your guide to all the tattoo TV shows currently airing. The Contest Shows Best Ink (Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on Oxygen) and Ink Master (Spike, returning later this year) are the exact same show. They might even use the same "countdown" music. And they are both terrific! It's Top Chef, but

Skill-Based Contests Are the Best Kind of Reality TV

Skill-Based Contests Are the Best Kind of Reality TV
A few weeks ago I caught an episode of SpikeTV's Ink Master, a reality contest show that does for tattooing what Top Chef does for cooking. One challenge and one judging panel later, I was totally hooked. Just what I need: Another show to be obsessed with. But I can't help it. I'm a sucker for feats-of-skill reality contest shows.Ink Master ticks each box for the reality-contest checklist: It's based on an unusual skill in a largely insular industry; the contestants are all passably decent (at least to a layman's eye); and the judging — by tattoo legend Oliver Peck, Miami Ink alum Chris Nuñez, and, uh, Dave Navarro — is expert, harsh, and hugely informative. It's the kind of show that at once demystifies a process (oh, that's how you make a color tattoo really seem three-dimensional!) and deifies its practitioners (oh, and she is really good at it!). Kat Von D Preps for an Underwater Wedding in Rock 'n' Roll Scuba Gear

Kat Von D Preps for an Underwater Wedding in Rock 'n' Roll Scuba Gear
If this heavy metal scuba suit is any indication, Kat Von D and fiancé Deadmau5 really are planning underwater nuptials. The bride-to-be looks like she's taking her waterproof wedding wear for a dry run in this ensemble. But we're hoping this casual look is intended for the reception, not the Miami Ink star's walk down the aisle. Though, if the happy couple plans to say, "I do" among the plankton, this rubbery onesie is probably smarter than a lace gown. In which case, here's hoping that it also comes in white!

Aston Merrygold is apparently thinking about starting up a chain of tattoo parlours. The Jls singer has designed most of his own tattoos, and recently showed off a new sleeve design by Derby-based tattoo artist Kevin Paul which incorporates a cassette tape, skulls and two masked faces kissing. "[Aston has] been looking into local art and tattoo courses to get the ball rolling," a source told The Sun. "He's also been recording episodes of Miami Ink on his Sky+ box for inspiration so he can watch them back after being on the road. "His (more)

TLC Orders Another Tattoo Reality Show
TLC has ordered yet another tattoo reality show. The network announced Thursday that "Tattoo School," a reality show chronicling a two-week tattoo artist training course at Shreveport, Louisiana's World's Only Tattoo School, will be premiering Thurs., May 24 at 10 p.m. Et.

The participants in the show will range from disabled military veterans to high school dropouts, according to a press release from TLC. The students will be faced with tattoo challenges that mirror situations likely to arise in professional tattooing. The winner of the competition will receive a golden tattoo gun that can apparently last a lifetime.

The show, which first aired as a special in summer of 2011, has become controversial in the tattoo community. Some professional tattoo artists have bristled at the notion that two weeks worth of training is enough to enter the profession.

"Tattoo School" is the fourth tattoo-related reality series to air on TLC. "Miami Ink,
