Why the Woman in Justin Timberlake's "Supplies" Music Video Looks So Damn Familiar

The music video for Justin Timberlake's new song, "Supplies," could double as a short dystopian film. Eerie white crocodiles? Check. Burning pyramids with Illuminati-esque symbols? Check. Oh, and some fiery sex scenes between Timberlake and the woman who stars in the video? Duh. If the woman featured throughout the sexy video has you wondering where you might have seen her before, you're not alone. The woman in question is 27-year-old Mexican actress Eiza González. If you watched 2017's critically-acclaimed comedy crime film, Baby Driver, then you'll recognize the budding star for her role as Monica "Darling" Castello. González played the lawless, ill-fated wife of Buddy (Jon Hamm), and a member of Doc's (Kevin Spacey) notorious ensemble of bank robbers in the action-packed hit. Image Source: Sony Pictures You'll be able to see a lot more of González onscreen soon. This Summer, you can catch her starring in the sci-fi

Could Fox Acquisition Finally Make Disney an Awards Power Player?

Could Fox Acquisition Finally Make Disney an Awards Power Player?
Disney has been one of the least awards-focused studios in the game for decades. The Burbank-based company even made a concerted effort to eliminate the specialty side of its movie business, selling off Miramax Films for $660 million in 2010 and only deigning to dabble in awards season fare with a handful of recent prestige productions like “The Help” and “Lincoln” through its distribution pact with DreamWorks.

How ironic, then, that with an acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s film divisions, it could mark a whole new era for Disney on the circuit. Through “Big” Fox and subsidiary Fox Searchlight, the studio would have a whole other silo far more adept at the awards game…if that’s even of interest, that is.

As if to prove that point, Fox blasted out a press release Monday morning in the wake of this year’s Golden Globe nominations announcement, beaming over a field-leading 27 mentions for a slew of films including

While Alita: Battle Angel could have been left in the scrap pile of ideas and half-written scripts, never to see the light of day, the project had at least one person hungry to see it on movie screens: director Robert Rodriguez. Robert Rodriguez explains Alita: Battle Angel’s anime eyes

While James Cameron messes about on Pandora, he has handed the directorial duties of his years-in-development Alita: Battle Angel over to Predators director Robert Rodriguez. When the trailer debuted the other day, amongst the most striking features of the sci-fi epic were the rendering of Rosa Salazar’s eyes.

Speaking to Empire about the trailer, Rodriguez addressed the creative choices behind giving Alita such prominent features:-

“It was always Jim’s intention to create a photo-realistic version of the manga eyes that we’re so accustomed to seeing. We really wanted to honour that tradition and see that look standing next to any human character. To have the right person to emote behind it was really essential. Her origins are in the film and you understand why she looks that way. If the eyes are the windows to the soul, we have some pretty big windows. You can see a lot going on in there!

New Trailer For Netflix's Altered Carbon Shows Us a Cyberpunk Future

Netflix seems to be pushing their cyberpunk sci-fi series Altered Carbon hard. Usually they release one or two trailers right before one of their original projects premieres. After all, this is the most expensive series that they've produced. They just want to make sure that it pays off for them.

The show looks freakin' awesome and I'm completely sold. I love what I've seen in the trailers and the concept is intriguing. This trailer offers us more information on the story that the series will tell. Altered Carbon is based on Richard K. Morgan’s 2002 cyberpunk novel, which is set 500 years in the future, and here's a description of the story that was released:
