Introducing... Armie Hammer

Let's celebrate the Quarter-Century mark of one Armie Hammer... (happy birthday!) also known as Armand Douglas Hammer. 'He's 6'5", 220, and there's two of him.' Well, actually just one. But his twinned Social Network role as Cameron and Tyler, "the Winklevii", sure doubled tripled quadrupled    okay greatly multiplied the size of his acting career. Hammer has the Prince Charming role in Tarsem Singh's upcoming Untitled Snow White picture but we'll next see him in Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar as Clyde Tolson, the alleged longtime lover / official longtime employee of Leonardo DiCaprio's J Edgar Hoover. So there's two of Hammer this time too in a sense.

Just for fun given his newness on the scene, I thought we'd look at how Armie has been introduced in each of the feature films he has made thus far (excluding Billy Graham the Early Years which I couldn't find. Inbetween the

Dustin Lance Black Becomes an ‘American Idiot’ For Universal

It was inevitable that a movie studio would pick up the highly successful Broadway musical based on the highly successful compact disc put out by band Green Day. It’s fitting that it would be Universal to option American Idiot considering their growing interest in musical storytelling – or at least their proposed future in interest in telling stories like Les Miserable and Wicked. Deadline Neches is reporting that the studio has hired Dustin Lance Black (Milk, J. Edgar) to write his first screenplay that doesn’t involve real-life political figures. His skill is unmistakable though, and his political experience will help color this story about three small-town guys despairing at their suburban existence through pop-punk. I, for one, welcome the adaptation because it’s high time a screen musical involved shooting up heroin. Universal has also signed Michael Mayer to direct the film, which is an interesting choice. His Tony-winning, Broadway

Ryan Kwanten Playing Charles Manson for Indie 'The Family'

Using the momentum from his breakthrough role as Jason Stackhouse in HBO's sexy vampire series "True Blood", actor Ryan Kwanten is making a big move into feature films. Now ShockTillYouDrop reports the actor will play a young Charles Manson in The Family, an adaptation of Ed Sanders revealing book of the same name which centers on the wayward teens who would become the twisted Manson family. Watch the First Episode of the AMC Conspiracy Thriller Rubicon Online Right Now

  • Collider.com
It doesn’t officially premiere until August, but AMC aired a sneak preview of the entire pilot for the conspiracy thriller Rubicon on the heels of last night’s superlative Breaking Bad finale. But in case you missed it, AMC wants to make sure you get a chance to check it out: the network has posted the entire episode online, and will rerun it periodically throughout the week.

I really liked the episode — it appealed to the math geek in me. So if there’s a speck of math geek in you, if you like the slow-burn thrillers of the seventies, or if you’re bit of a conspiracy nut, you can find the online edition of the premiere episode of Rubicon after the jump.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Rubicon is a conspiracy thriller starring James Badge Dale (who earlier this year headlined HBO’s The Pacific) as an

First Trailer and Poster for AMC’s Rubicon; Sneak Preview June 13th after Breaking Bad Finale

  • Collider.com
A sneak preview for the AMC conspiracy thriller series Rubicon will air on the tail end of the Breaking Bad season three finale this Sunday, and the network has released the first poster and trailer for the series to mark the event. Rubicon stars James Badge Dale (The Pacific) as “an analyst at a New York City think-tank who is thrown into a story where nothing is as it appears to be.” Henry Bromell was named showrfunner for the 13-episode first season.

It goes without saying that Breaking Bad and Mad Men comprise a fantastic track record for AMC original series; I may have very little idea what it’s actually about, but Rubicon is easily my most anticipated series of the summer. The trailer is appropriately enigmatic, and I am eager to see the sneak preview this Sunday (whatever it entails) in advance of its official (and too far removed from immediate) August 1 premiere.

AMC debuts Rubicon promo

With Breaking Bad and Mad Men already on its roster, and a somewhat successful (if gloriously messy) The Prisoner remake/reboot/reimagining completed last year, AMC has already carved out a pretty impressive reputation for quality drama. Its zombified project The Walking Dead comes this fall, but another long gestating project, Rubicon, finally got a promo trailer today. The network is also generously showing the full pilot episode after the Breaking Bad finale this Sunday 13th, before the show premieres for real later this summer. I, personally, can't wait to see more of James Badge Dale's crazy hair.

Top 10 Country Singers to Hollywood Stars

Memorable high point…Well, here are our Top Ten Country-to-Hollywood Crossover Stars.

Tim McGraw. Hailed by critics for his solid performance supporting Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock in ‘The Blind Side,’ he now has ‘Love Don’t Let Me Down’ with Gwyneth Paltrow and Leighton Meester in the can. With past credits including ‘Friday Night Lights,’ ‘Flicka,’ ‘The Kingdom’ and ‘Four Christmases,’ he’s got a great career going not counting his music. But, by the way, where’s his wife’s acting career these days? Since getting stung with some nasty reviews in 2004’s ‘Stepford Wives,’ Faith Hill’s been sticking to singing.

"Drag Me to Hell" review. Laughs and screams intermingle.

"Drag Me to Hell" reviewby Steve Ramos (4/5)   Sam Raimi returns to classic horror with Drag Me To Hell and delivers a midnight masterpiece.   Smack in the middle of 3-D gore and slasher remakes featuring Halloweens Michael Myers and Friday the Thirteenths Jason, director Sam Raimi revisits grind house horror with Drag Me To Hell, a wild, scream out loud, old-fashioned scare featuring a pretty bank manager (Alison Lohman) fighting a curse from a vengeful gypsy. Recent horror hits like My Bloody Valentine 3-D and the Last House on the Left remake rely solely on escalating series of grisly deaths, often at the hands of a madman, to shock moviegoers into a bloody stupor.   Now, some 22 years after the last film in his Evil Dead trilogy, Raimi returns to classic horror and the result is a midnight pulp masterpiece with enough screams and laughs to fill 20 Halloween remakes. As Christine Brown,
