‘The Evangelist’ to stalk Us retailers in May

ITN Distribution has acquired the rights to worldwide distribution for psychological horror/thriller The Evangelist, with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and eOne Entertainment releasing the film in the Us and Canada on May 9th 2017. Starring Keith Collins (The Meat Puppet, The Jersey Devil), Doug Bollinger (Waltzing Anna), Samantha Artese (The Coffee Shop), Michael Billy (The One), The Evangelist won two coveted awards at the Atlantic City Cinefest Film Festival for Best Horror and Best Actor with original music by former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (Art of Anarchy)

Already out on DVD here in the UK, the titular Evangelist is a bible-quoting serial killer who has a small NJ town gripped with fear. But is he the same maniac from the past continuing his moral cleansing or a new, merciless angel of death?

Production begins on horror/thriller ‘The Samaritans’

The Samaritans tells the story of Four co-workers who get together to finish a project at their manager’s home. They haven’t actually met face to face and they discover they have more in common than the new App they are perfecting. As they piece together their histories, they realize that each of them has a deadly secret that could reveal a way out or seal their fates. Batman's Commissioner Gordon Dies

Batman has lost his Commissioner Gordon. New millennium movie fans know Gary Oldman as the character, but back in the 90s, through all four original Batman movies, James Gordon was played by the great Pat Hingle. According to the AP, Saturday evening, Hingle lost a long battle with blood cancer and died in his North Carolina home at the age of 84. Hingle had a long and busy career in Hollywood as a character actor. His first ever on screen appearance was in On the Waterfront, back in 1954. He worked steadily from then on, appearing in multiple movies nearly every single year of his career. That includes 2006, when you might have seen him in Waltzing Anna, Talladega Nights, or Two Tickets to Paradise. The man loved to work, and seemed to have no problem getting it.
