Produced by Lucky McKee (May, The Woman, All Cheerleaders Die), director Richard Zelniker’s new thriller Don’t Look There is set to begin filming this winter.

A mystery/thriller about a clinical psychologist (Emmanuelle Vaugier) who’s on a downward spiral as she treats a new patient (Kenny Johnson) that suffers from premonitions. As their sessions deepen, a detective (Kirk Acevedo) solicits her help in hunting down an elusive serial killer terrorizing Detroit during the holiday season.

Atx Festival Sets Reunions for 'Nash Bridges' Writers Room, 'Thirtysomething' (Exclusive)

The seventh edition of the Atx Television Festival is starting to take shape.

A Nash Bridges writers room reunion has been added to the lineup for the annual event, which is set to run June 7-10, 2018. Confirmed talent includes creator Carlton Cuse (Lost), Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead), John Wirth (Hell on Wheels), Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and Pam Veasey (CSI: NY).

Shelley Berman, who played Larry’s father, Nat, on Curb Your Enthusiasm, died Friday from complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. He was 92.

A post on Berman’s official Facebook fan page announced his passing, adding, “He slipped away peacefully, in his sleep, with no pain, as far as his hospice care workers could tell.”

Showrunner Carlton Cuse Sets Rich Overall Deal With ABC Studios

Carlton Cuse is returning to ABC Studios, setting a mammoth overall deal with the Disney division where he spent six seasons shepherding “Lost” with Damon Lindelof.

The four-year pact, valued in its entirety in the low eight-figures, puts Cuse in a league with the richest showrunner deals in town.

Cuse will launch a new production banner dubbed Genre Arts, and he has recruited longtime Amblin TV executive Lindsey Springer to serve as president. Cuse will focus on collaborating with other writers and creatives to bring projects to fruition. The company will be based on the Disney lot.

Rizzoli & Isles” creator Janet Tamaro is developing a new female police drama series for Fox, Variety has learned exclusively.

Currently titled “Smoke and Mirrors,” the series would follow a seasoned former detective who is now a mom stuck behind a desk and raising two kids. She is unexpectedly pulled back into the field to cover for a sick colleague and work alongside a young rookie female detective who has been deep undercover.

Fox has ordered a script for the project with a penalty attached. Tamaro will write and executive produce. 20th Century Fox Television is producing.

Deadline is reporting that Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil is teaming up with Gudrun GiddingsG4C Innovation for a TV adaptation of Funcom’s hit Mmo video game The Secret World, which is being written by James V. Hart (Hook) and Jake Hart, with Pam Veasey (CSI: NY) serving as showrunner.

The Secret World centres on “a team of undercover agents and the shadowy war between secret societies: the Illuminati, Dragon and the Templar. Central to the plot is their battle against the supernatural in an adventure that spans across our world, and incorporates the realms of ancient myths and legends, as well as today’s conspiracy theories and headline news.”
