Storyline

After penniless cook Matt Landis marries businessman Victor Pellet's spoiled daughter Alex, they agree to save money for his dream to start his own restaurant by moving in with the Pellets. For 'outsider' Matt, this starts years of aggravation, mainly because Alex's dad is domineering and remains overprotective, with a strong hold over his daughter. Furthermore various habits and attitudes keep clashing. Written by KGF Vissers

Quotes

Matt: Marlene, is it me or does your sledgehammer clash with that bag?
Marlene: I use this to hammer in my "For Sale" signs. You know, every time I swing it I feel like I'm driving in a golden spike on a whole new future and I smile. Although sometimes I hit a sprinkler line, then I just run!

This show is hilarious!

I have only started watching this recently but every episode is very good. Admitedly it is alot like 'Meet The Parents' but better! I didnt enjoy 'Meet The Parents' that much and this just makes it so much better. The concept is quite a cliche but the jokes r great. Farina and Gold have a great friendship and pull off most of the funny bits. If u like meet the parents or frasier then u will love this. Brilliant!
