Exclusive: Nick Viall Says He’s ‘Trying to Get Better’ After Nearly Getting Eliminated on 'Dancing With the Stars’
Nick Viall and Peta Murgatroyd found themselves facing an elimination on Monday's Dancing With the Stars after their tango was not so well received by the judges.

The Bachelor star and his pro partner attempted a routine to Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," but only got a score of 26 out of 40, with judge Len Goodman giving them a six. This made them one of the bottom two couples of the night, but ultimately it was Charo and Keo Motsepe who were eliminated.

The 47-year-old figure skater and Chigvintsev earned a score of 33 out of 40 -- with Len Goodman giving them a nine -- for their dance to Ricky Martin's "Shake Your Bon Bon." Kerrigan admitted to Et's Nischelle Turner that she's a huge fan of Martin's music, and was thrilled to meet the Puerto Rican musician. "It's one of those moments where you're really embarrassed, but you cannot help it," she quipped. "I used to compete to his songs, it was a huge influence in my career as a dancer."

Nancy Kerrigan and Kristi Yamaguchi Poke Fun at "Break a Leg" Tweet With This New Sign

Nancy Kerrigan and Kristi Yamaguchi Poke Fun at
It's all in good fun.  When it came time for Nancy Kerrigan to hit the ballroom stage as a competitor on Dancing With the Stars, longtime friend and fellow former ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi knew exactly how to cheer her on from the audience.  The Olympic champion held a sign that read, "Break A Leg Nancy!" Of course, it was hard to ignore the history of the pun. On the first night of the competition three weeks ago, Yamaguchi urged Kerrigan to "break a leg" in a harmless tweet. However, the Internet was quick to point out the irony in the athlete's words as Kerrigan was famously attacked in 1994 by someone hired by competitor Tonya Harding's ex-husband and bodyguard to break...

Nancy Kerrigan has a sense of humor.

Last week, Twitter had a field day when Kristi Yamaguchi wished Kerrigan luck on Dancing with the Stars by using the expression “break a leg,” an awkward choice of words giving Kerrigan’s history.

But showing there were no hard feelings, Kerrigan posed for a photo with Yamaguchi — who won the Mirrorball Trophy on season 6 of DWTS — with the pair holding a sign that read, “Break a leg, Nancy.”

Over two decades ago, Kerrigan, 47, made headlines when she was attacked in January 1994 with a police baton at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships

Kristi Yamaguchi Tells Nancy Kerrigan to ‘Break a Leg’ on DWTS: Oops

I think I either just gained a ton of respect for Kristi Yamaguchi’s twisted sense of humor or I just clarified that Yamaguchi is not the brightest star in the sky. When you tell an entertainer to “Break a Leg” before a performance, it’s quite normal. In fact it’s tradition and a fine custom. But when the person you’re telling “break a leg” to suffered a broken leg during the 1994 Olympics that was one of the biggest figure skating scandals and stories of all time, you might want to retract the statement. However, former gold-medal figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi

Ruth Wilson webchat – your questions answered on The Affair, Idris Elba and Marmite

The Olivier-nominated actor joined us live from the National Theatre to talk about crying on cue, why American TV takes so many risks and what she has in common with Hedda Gabler

Thanks for reading! And watching. Great answering all your questions - au revoir!

helizsct asks:

Do you find parallels between the characters you play – ie Stella and Hedda? Both are destructive in their own way. Do you ever draw on your experiences playing other characters with whom you can see similarities?

Sometimes there are similarities, but I've never put those two together. I've seen moments of Alice in Hedda, and moments of Alison in Hedda - in their self loathing. Alice is a psychopath, and is slightly different, she enjoys it and doesn't have a conscience; Alison and Hedda have a deep sense of self-loathing, with Hedda it's quite far down and she doesn't recognise it.

Spider-man: Homecoming Adds 3 Newcomers

Via The Hollywood Reporter, relative newcomers Isabella Amara (Melissa McCarthy's The Boss), Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (The Land) and Jj Totah (Glee, Other People) have joined the cast of Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming. Of course, as with all the recent cast additions, the identity of their characters has not been disclosed. However, given their relatively young ages, it looks as if these characters will be more of Peter's Midtown High contemporaries. To date, the full cast for the film includes Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Zandaya, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Kenneth Choi, Tony Revolori, Michael Barbieri and Laura Harrier. Shooting is expected to commence before the end of June at Atlanta's Pinewood Studios. Exclusive Interview with actor Jak Wyld

In an exclusive interview, Senior Staff Writer Scott J. Davis sat down with up-and-coming Australian actor Jak Wyld, who has just taken his next big step in the acting world in the Us…

Scott J. Davis: You have quite a diverse background – with your early jobs and New Zealand Military training. How did you get started in acting, was it always a dream of yours from a young age?

Jak Wyld: I was involved in a lot of productions throughout high school, when I was close to graduating I had to seriously look at career choices; a country school in New Zealand in the 80’s had no drama classes or progression. I had always been interested in the military and aircraft so one afternoon I enlisted, I certainly don’t regret it, but I think in the back of my mind I always knew my calling was in acting.

9 (Serious) Theatrical Superstitions

There’s no denying it: Actors are a superstitious bunch. Maybe it’s the (obvious) flare for the dramatic, the nightly thrill of live performance, or the awareness that careers can turn overnight. Regardless of the cause, here are nine fun (and serious) superstitions that thespians swear by. Did somebody just say “Macbeth?” “Break a Leg”Well-wishers should always replace the phrase “good luck” with its theatrical substitute “break a leg.” According to Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the saying has a variety of possible origins. It may come from the ancient Greek practice of stomping feet instead of applauding, the Elizabethan term for bowing (to break the leg), the Vaudevillian practice of keeping actors just barely offstage (to break the leg of the curtain was to enter the playing space, and thus, get paid), or from understudies (jokingly) wishing actors would “break a leg” so that their standbys could perform.
