What We Know about Jennifer Garner Action Film “Peppermint” So Far

What we know about Peppermint, an action thriller starring Jennifer Garner, isn’t all that much so far. At this point what we do know is the fact that it will be a return to the action genre for Garner, who really hasn’t seen much of that since her role in the ill-fated Elektra movie and before that as the same character in Ben Affleck’s abysmal attempt as Daredevil. Garner is no stranger to action since she did star in Alias for a while before getting into the action movie scene, but it’s still been a while since we got to

X-Men Producer Wants to Bring Mutants Into the Marvel Movie Universe

X-Men Producer Wants to Bring Mutants Into the Marvel Movie Universe
20th Century Fox has maintained control of the X-Men franchise for almost 20 years, since the first X-Men hit theaters in 2000, but lately there has been talk of the mutants finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While nothing is set in stone yet, there has been talk all month that Disney is negotiating to buy 20th Century Fox, a deal that would put the 20th Century Fox Marvel properties like X-Men and Fantastic Four under the same roof as Marvel, but what would longtime X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner think about her beloved franchise joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Here's what she had to say during a recent interview.

"Well, I wish. I would love it, I would love it. But it's not for me to say."

If this deal does actually happen, it will mark a reunion between Lauren Shuler Donner and her former protege, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

Warner Bros. brought its DC heroes together this weekend with the release of the DC Extended Universe blockbuster Justice League, and while it managed to edge out Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad in terms of critical reaction, it certainly hasn’t been no Wonder Woman, with the film scoring a 46 on Metacritic and 40% on Rotten Tomatoes (once Rt decided to release its rating, that is). Matt Damon And Ben Affleck Read For The Role Of Robin In Tim Burton’s Batman

While it’s probably safe to say that we’re all unbelievably pumped for this weekend’s release of the Justice League movie, it’s interesting to note that some other DC trivia is being brought to light that’s entirely separate from the big team-up flick. Sure, it came to us via the usual press rounds that Ben Affleck must make, but this factoid is something that we won’t soon forget.

When appearing on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the current actor having the privilege of playing Batman somehow got on the topic of what life was like for him and his longtime friend/colleague Matt Damon much earlier in their careers. Having started off in the industry when they were essentially kids, it’s understandable that they have many unforgettable experiences to share.

One such example that Batfans will find intriguing is that they both

Ben Affleck Calls Batman v Superman Backlash Fair

Ben Affleck Calls Batman v Superman Backlash Fair
The sad Affleck meme is taking on a whole new meaning now that Ben Affleck has come out and agreed with a lot of the harsh criticism that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice faced upon its release last year. Deep down when Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sounds of Silence" played, Ben Affleck's sadness as he stared into space may have been agreeing with the critics the entire time, knowing that they were promoting something that was less than stellar and haphazardly thrown together like a bunch of writers playing pin the tail on the donkey, but with scenes of Batman v Superman instead.

Ben Affleck recently sat down with Empire Magazine to promote the upcoming Justice League movie and he revealed that he agreed with a lot of the criticism of Batman v Superman. Most of the criticism that plagued the movie was that it was too dark,

Ben Affleck – A Gentle Reminder Ahead of Justice League

Martin Carr on Ben Affleck

With Justice League tracking a huge box office opening, Joss Whedon busy lightening tone and Zack Snyder stepping away permanently, there are others who have become lost amongst the kerfuffle. One is an Oscar-winning screenwriter and Best Picture winner, hounded by paparazzi and internet rumour mills for his continued role in Warner’s DC universe. Not only did he give us a new and surprising Batman, but was also hailed as the best thing in a film which others refer to politely as disjointed. He is Ben Affleck.

Amongst the white noise of reshoots, lacklustre reviews for Live By Night and his Batman commitment issues, some might have forgotten what Affleck has achieved. Sure he might have made amends for his Daredevil with that pitch black Bruce Wayne, but the media hop-scotch which has come with The Batman has undone some of that. However with

Zack Snyder Says Ben Affleck Is The Best Batman

We’d be lying if we said the rumors that Ben Affleck was hanging up the cape and cowl didn’t make us choke up a bit. We’ve only seen him as Batman in two films to date, but he’s left an indisputable positive impression and we’ve become big fans of his portrayal. For many, he’s the only interpretation of the Dark Knight that they’ll accept in the Dceu.

There’s no denying the two-time Oscar winner is a talented all-rounder, but his initial casting as the iconic Caped Crusader rattled the cages of many comic book fans. Not everyone was behind the idea of Batfleck due to the nightmarish flashbacks of 2003’s Daredevil, which was a fair-enough concern all things considered. After seeing his portrayal in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, though, it’s hard to imagine anyone else but him in the

10 Actors Who Rejected Marvel Superhero Roles
Marvel movies are big business, from the Avengers franchise and all of the interconnected heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on screens both big and small, to Fox's ever-expanding world of the X-Men and Deadpool, to the Sony steered Spider-man movies, going all the way back to Sam Raimi's original trilogy. But that doesn't mean every big name actor and A list talent in Hollywood wants to be associated with these characters. Some heavyweight actors have straight up said no way when Marvel came knocking. So, who would do such a thing?

Since becoming its own studio, which was later acquired by Disney in one of the biggest studio deals this side of Lucasfilm, Marvel has had no problem attracting top-tier A-list talent to its roster; the talent who commands major ticket grosses and critical acclaim alike. Who doesn't want to suit up as a one of Marvel's Merry Mutants,

10 Things You Didn’t Know about the Ben Affleck Daredevil Movie

The Daredevil movie was quite honestly a flop. It had only few really redeemable qualities aside from the fact that it had Jennifer Garner and a completely insane Bullseye. Aside from that the film was a cinematic dud in every sense of the word. When the history books are opened after a while and this film is found it will no doubt read as one of Affleck’s biggest failures, and considering how bad he got roasted for Gigli that’s not exactly comforting. There are a few things that even the diehards had trouble pointing at though throughout this movie. Maybe

SAG-aftra Presidential Candidate Pete Antico Blasts Union Leaders Following ‘Deadpool 2’ Stunt Death

SAG-aftra Presidential Candidate Pete Antico Blasts Union Leaders Following ‘Deadpool 2’ Stunt Death
SAG-aftra presidential candidate and veteran stuntman Pete Antico has blasted union leadership for failure to provide protection to the stunt community.

Antico issued a blistering statement to Variety on Tuesday, a day after the death of stuntwoman Joi “Sj” Harris on the set of “Deadpool 2” and a month after John Bernecker’s death on “The Walking Dead” set. Antico said both deaths are tragic.

“The stunt coordinators on those sets have vast experience tenure and are at the top of their game,” he said. “We have not received much information regarding the details of the incidents; however, I do know that the stunt community is not protected in our collective bargaining agreement and has not been for years. There are no qualifications for a stunt coordinator in our collective bargaining agreement. There never was. That is unconscionable. A producer can hire anyone who says they are a coordinator and most of the time you get what

Kevin Smith Returns To Direct His Third Episode Of Supergirl

Despite having Superman Lives escape his grasp two decades ago, Kevin Smith has done well for himself in the time since. Not only has he gone on to write comic books highlighting the exploits of Daredevil, Green Arrow and Batman, but he also had the good fortune of directing two episodes of The Flash in recent years.

But after overseeing two pivotal installments featuring the Scarlet Speedster, Smith set his sights on National City. Not wasting any time, he handily helmed two episodes of Supergirl during its sophomore season. And although they didn’t lack the emotional resonance that was seen in his Flash offerings, they turned out to be visual effects spectacles, each being an achievement when it came to thrilling science fiction experiences on television.

Naturally, you’d think “the Fatman” would move on to Arrow since he’s already written for that character, albeit in another medium,
