Call her, beep her, and watch her awesome show!
16 August 2002 | by (Bristol, CT) – See all my reviews

This is a truly entertaining action cartoon, with very unlikely characters taking center stage. We have Kim Possible, cheerleader by day, super agent by night. Ron Stoppable, Kim's goofus best friend, and her trusty sidekick. Rufus, a talking naked mole-rat, who usually sides with Ron whenever he and Kim have a disagreement. The supporting cast: Wade, the middle man/kid who gives Kim information and her mission. Kim's parents are very well to do, Dad is a rocket scientist, and Mom is a neurosurgeon. Both approve of her dual lifestyle. Now, really, can there be any better a cast than this?

Since Kim is too young to drive she enlists the aid of several people who she has helped in the past. Now that's original. And in a risqué move for a Disney TV Toon, Kim usually sports a bare midriff, skirted cheer-outfit, or a half shirt and really loose fitting pants (true, Ariel was half-naked, but she was a mermaid). Although Kim may have her name in the title, the true star should be Ron Stoppable. He has the best lines, and a lot of personality, even more so than Kim. Some of his standouts: The episodes with him twice revisiting his old Camp Wannaweep. Plus, I really thought his "naco" invention was a great idea. Also, watch for the ep where Ron and Kim switch brains, as he has very funny lines based on his predicament.

The recurring villain is Dr. Drakken, who is pathetic and menacing at the same time. But again, the supporting character wins this race too. His henchwoman, Shego, is another character with some great lines. When Shego encounters Kim it makes for some *fierce* fight scenes between them. Even though this is a comedy/action/kid show, I still want a full episode Kim vs. Shego to the finish.

This show is a heaping helping of not-serious, unlike some of IMDb'ers want. Every episode is terrific, with a lot of action, comedy, and parody of secret agents. That a teen girl, a teen guy, and a naked mole rat can save the world as well as James Bond can is funny in and of itself.

Call her, beep her if you wanna reach her. Or...uh, just use your remote control.
