Maleficent 2 Begins Shooting with Angelina Jolie This Spring

Disney's Maleficent 2 is finally moving forward after several years in development, with Angelina Jolie returning as the main character, and now we know when production will begin. While this has yet to be confirmed by the studios, a new report reveals that director Joachim Ronning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) has started the pre-production process, with principal photography slated to begin April 16 in London, which will run until August. Angelina Jolie was said to be deciding between this project and the Universal monster movie Bride of Frankenstein as her next movie, and it seems that Maleficent 2 has come out on top.

This new report also claims that Patrick Tatopoulous has been enlisted as the film's production designer, following his most recent work on Justice League, Batman v Superman and 300: Rise of an Empire. The sequel finally started moving forward in August, when

Magical First Trailer For Disney's The Nutcracker And The Four Realms

Disney has released the first trailer for The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and it's quite a wonderfully magical visual treat. I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie, but I actually really like what I'm seeing in this trailer. It looks like a film that the whole family will enjoy. The movie also has a great cast, and here's the synopsis:

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets.

"It's Christmas Eve... A time of mystery... Expectations... Who knows what might happen...?" Disney has debuted the first teaser trailer for another new live-action take on a classic story - The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Going back to the original story, this one has a darker side (as the teaser trailer teases) and seems to be a mix of Alice in Wonderland and Chronicles of Narnia. This new movie stars Mackenzie Foy as Clara, who gets lost in another realm where she finds gingerbread soldiers and an army of mice. The cast includes Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, Matthew Macfadyen, Miranda Hart, Ellie Bamber, and Jack Whitehall. This looks like exactly what you would expect from Disney - magical and pretty much the same color palette and CGI worlds as every other live-action movie they have made in the last few years. But they keep making tons of money,

‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ First Trailer: Disney Boldly Reimagines A Christmas Classic

‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ First Trailer: Disney Boldly Reimagines A Christmas Classic
Disney has made a killing at the box office by reimagining some of its greatest works, from “Alice in Wonderland” to “The Jungle Book” and “Beauty and the Beast,” which remains the highest grossing film of 2017 (at least until “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” surpasses it). Directed by Lasse Hallström, the Christmas epic takes inspiration from both E.T.A. Hoffmann’s “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” and Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Nutcracker.” Mackenzie Foy plays a young girl who is whisked away on an epic adventure through fantastical realms. Keira Knightley stars as the Sugar Plum Fairy, with Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, and ballet dancer Misty Copeland featured in supporting roles.
