Rian Johnson Teases Luke’s Return To The Millenium Falcon In The Last Jedi

If Rian Johnson is working to maintain some semblance of mystery around Supreme Leader Snoke – word is The Last Jedi will answer most (but not all!) of our questions come December – then the sequel’s writer-director has adopted a similar approach to the great Luke Skywalker.

Mark Hamill’s all-powerful Force-user went into exile soon after the events of Jedi, and it was only when Daisy Ridley’s Rey touched down on Ahch-To that Star Wars fans caught a glimpse of Hamill’s jaded hero. And though he was initially taken aback by Johnson’s vision for the character, The Last Jedi is poised to introduce a “haunted” Luke who is essentially a shell of his former self. This is something that’ll apparently carry over into his return to the Millenium Falcon, too.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly how Luke will react once he’s back in the ship,

New ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Images Tease the Fates of Rey and Kylo Ren

A few weeks back, Marvel released Taika Waititi's lively yet slight Thor: Ragnarok while this weekend saw the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League, a genuine disaster. That means that little more than a few weeks stands between hungry audiences and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the eighth volume in the proper Star Wars saga, not including Rogue One or the upcoming Han Solo movie. Of course, some people might be really looking forward to Coco - I hear its very good - but in the realm of blockbusters, Marvel, DC, and Star Wars are the big players at the …

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’: EW Covers, New Photos & Tempting Talk Of The Dark Side

Director Rian Johnson’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is less than a month away. And it’s been a pretty good year for Johnson. He’s the only “Star Wars” filmmaker that hasn’t been kicked off, fired or pushed off his film in the last 18 months. Not only that, Lucasfilm seems to love the guy and they’ve given him the keys to a new upcoming “Star Wars” trilogy that apparently won’t arrive until 2020 and will have nothing to do with the Skywalker saga.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Will be the Longest “Star Wars” Movie Yet

For some time, people have been speculating that the runtime for Star Wars: The Last Jedi would be 150 minutes. This is because a number of movie theater websites cited said figure for said movie. However, there was still plenty of room for doubt because it is not uncommon for such websites to use placeholders before said information has been revealed to them. With that said, it is now clear that the 150 minutes runtime was no placeholder but rather the simple truth, having been confirmed by Rian Johnson of all people on November 17. What happened was that Rian

Weekend Box Office: ‘Justice League’ Takes the Top Spot with $96 Million

For almost any other movie that doesn't bare the names Marvel, DC, or Star Wars, a $96 million weekend at the box office is something to celebrate. Even for movies that cost around $100 million to make, such a performance would suggest a profitable movie with marketing factored in to boot. And yet the plain fact is that Justice League's $96 million take this weekend is a deafening disappointment, one that now maps out a extremely perilous road for whatever the future of the DC cinematic universe had planned for next. The Aquaman TV Show That Failed To Make A Splash

Neil Calloway looks at the less than successful Aquaman TV pilot from 2006…

Though we’ve seen brief glimpses of him in Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad, the release of Justice League this weekend gives cinemagoers will get their first experience of Aquaman on the big screen. It turns out he isn’t a superhero who flies around the world to a soundtrack of that Danish band who sung Barbie Girl, but rather someone who has exceptional underwater abilities.

He might not be well known to the general public, but if you’d have said Iron Man to all but the biggest comic book fan before 2008 they’d think you were talking about a particularly taxing triathlon rather than a Elon Musk like superhero. As with most comic book characters, there have been previous attempts to bring him to the screen. After a version of the character appearing in an

Movie Review: Last Flag Flying Review

  • CinemaNerdz
Dialogue in film can be tricky. Whether the screenwriter is trying to lay out exposition or have an emotional moment between two characters, the nuances of screenwriting are understandably crucial to a successful film. That is why most of Richard Linklater’s films are almost always successful. The man behind the “Before” trilogy (Before Sunrise [1995], Before Sunset [2004], and Before Midnight [2013]), Dazed and Confused (1993), Everybody Wants Some!! (2016), and one of the decade’s best films, Boyhood (2014), has a talent for creating entertaining and thoughtful movies that feature essentially just people talking. His characters walk through the streets of Vienna talking about their lives (Before Sunrise), talk at parties on the weekend leading up to the first day of a college semester (Everybody Wants Some!!), and talk about what they want to see in the newest Star Wars movie around a campfire (Boyhood). Linklater is the master of creating natural dialogue between

Sebastian Stan would be happy to play a young Luke Skywalker in Star Wars

A few months ago, the above fan art started circulating on social media, pointing out the rather uncanny resemblance between a young Mark Hamill on the left and Marvel star Sebastian Stan on the right.

Naturally this led to a lot of fan support for Stan to take on the role of a young Luke Skywalker, should Lucasfilm ever decide to include the character in one of its Star Wars Anthology movies. And, during a panel at the Rhode Island Comic Con, Stan has admitted that he’d jump at the opportunity should it come his way.

“I just want to say here that anytime anyone would like to call me and ask me about Luke Skywalker I’d be very happy,” said Stan, who will soon be seen reprising his role as the Winter Soldier in Avengers: Infinity War. Check out his comments here…
