'Crash Pad': Film Review

A rom-com built on wounded male pride and enough booze to float a ship, Kevin Tent's Crash Pad makes BFFs of a romantic dweeb and the alpha male he has inadvertently cuckolded. The kind of high-concept (and sharply written) showcase for bad behavior that a big studio might have made with, say, Thomas Middleditch and Vince Vaughn, it has somehow wound up in the care of indie distrib Vertical Entertainment, sneaking into theaters later this month after a quiet festival debut. The lack of buzz is unfortunate for a crowd-pleaser with plenty of mainstream appeal. On the plus side, this...

First Official Trailer for Sci-Fi Thriller 'Replicas' Starring Keanu Reeves

"I'm on the verge of a breakthrough... I am this close." Entertainment Studios has debuted an official trailer for a sci-fi thriller titled Replicas, starring Keanu Reeves as a mad scientists who tries to figure out how to bring back his family after they are killed in a car accident. There's some kind of weird robot and lots of cool headgear that Reeves wears, but really is is about a synthetic biologist who attempts to clone his family members. The cast includes Alice Eve, Thomas Middleditch, Emily Alyn Lind, John Ortiz, Emjay Anthony, and Nyasha Hatendi. As much as I love sci-fi, and as much as I love Keanu Reeves, this looks pretty bad. The song is weird, and the whole film seems like an odd sci-fi mash-up that probably won't work. Here's the first official trailer for Jeffrey Nachmanoff's Replicas, direct from YouTube: A daring synthetic biologist who,

10 great online series to discover

Nick Horton Oct 6, 2017

Nick has dug up 10 highly recommended gems from the digital online world for your viewing pleasure...

It’s no secret that the gap between premium television (paid for by and broadcast on traditional networks and/or the big online players like Netflix and Amazon) is getting smaller. Not in terms of budgets, but in terms of creativity, talent and opportunity. Increasingly the next big thing might come from the online world, and that wouldn’t be such a strange thing. Broad City and Insecure, two celebrated Us comedy series, both had their origins online, with sketches by Abbi and Ilana, and Issa Rae’s Awkward Black Girl. The celebrated Fleabag was a BBC Three digital show.

‘Rick and Morty’: 12 Guest Stars Who Make Season 3 Worth Re-Watching

‘Rick and Morty’: 12 Guest Stars Who Make Season 3 Worth Re-Watching
Rick and Morty” is one of the best-looking animated series on TV. As high-concept as these travels through technicolor dreamlands and psychedelic wormholes can get, “Rick and Morty” wouldn’t be what it is without some talented performers bringing the show’s characters to life.

In Season 3, series co-creator Justin Roiland did more of the heavy lifting than ever before (including anchoring an entire episode by his lonesome). But, as usual, this now-finished season also drew on some incredible voice talent for some one-off delights. Some of these guest stars were such a natural fit for the show that it’s surprising it took this long for the show to utilize their talents. (How did two whole seasons go by before a pair of “Community” folks showed up?)

Godzilla 2 Wraps Production, New Monsters Teased
That's a wrap! Production on the Godzilla sequel is officially complete, as confirmed by director Mike Dougherty, who took to Twitter in order to declare the movie is one giant step closer to finally arriving in theaters. Godzilla 2 is poised to bring some of the classic Toho monsters into the fold and, in order to commemorate principal photography finishing up on the Godzilla sequel, Dougherty has teased the arrival of Mothra and King Ghidorah to Legendary Pictures' MonsterVerse.

Mike Dougherty posted a couple of photos to Twitter from his last day working on Godzilla 2, which was at one point going under the title of Godzilla: King of Monsters. One of the photos showed his workspace, which had some nice little Easter eggs, such as a Monarch coffee mug. Monarch is the corporation that is tying the MonsterVerse together, having appeared in both Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island. But the second

Catch A Sneak Peek Of Gojira In Bts Photo From Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

Though King Kong threatened to steal the title for himself earlier this year through the release of Skull Island, come 2019, Godzilla will resurface from the murky depths to prove that he is, in fact, King of the Monsters.

Yes, Michael Dougherty’s long-brewing monster sequel is beginning to coalesce and to prove it, the writer-director has Tweeted out a behind-the-scenes photo from Atlanta. Joined by the likes of Avengers 4, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Sony’s Venom spinoff, Godzilla: King of the Monsters is one of many Hollywood blockbusters to set up shop in the Georgia capital, and we’ve already caught a glimpse of the spectacle Dougherty and Co. are rustling up.

This teaser, on the other hand, arrives by way of an official source, but that doesn’t make it any less intriguing. In fact, it offers up our first sneak peek at the titular deity, whose snarling,
