But of all the many famous faces hitting the Belfast streets, it’s Kristofer Hivju that has generated the most excitement. That’s because his Tormund was last seen fleeing the Night King in season 7’s grand finale,

Game Of Thrones Cast Members Pitch Their Own Weird And Wonderful Spinoff Ideas

Only six episodes remain of HBO’s Game of Thrones and in truth, that’s enough to leave fans on edge.

Now that the dust is beginning to settle from Sunday’s show-stopping finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf,” the Internet has been awash with weird and wonderful fan theories ranging from a potential connection between Bran Stark and the Night King, along with the incestuous relationship between Jon Snow (real name: Aegon Targaryen) and Daenerys and, crucially, what it means for the Seven Kingdoms.

But beyond Game of Thrones season 8, we understand HBO is plotting a prequel series based on the world created by George R.R. Martin. Yes, the Song of Ice and Fire must go on, and already the network has solicited story pitches from such talented screenwriters as Max Borenstein (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Jane Goldman (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Brian Helgeland and Carly Wray. 'Game of Thrones' Linguist on Constructing Dothraki, Valyrian
David J. Peterson, the linguistic mastermind behind Game of Thrones, detailed his painstaking process for assembling the Dothraki and Valyrian languages in an exclusive Rolling Stone video interview.

Peterson began his process by consulting George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, the fantasy novels which spawned the acclaimed HBO series. "There were a number of names, but there were also a bunch of short phrases – some actual complete sentences that were in there," he said. "The language I was going to be creating had to match both

‘Game of Thrones’: 9 Signs Jon Snow Will Become the Father of Dragons With or Without Daenerys

‘Game of Thrones’: 9 Signs Jon Snow Will Become the Father of Dragons With or Without Daenerys
The seventh season of “Game of Thrones” has come under fire for a number of reasons, among them becoming predictable and not taking enough risks and delivering unbelievable timelines and plot devices. But there’s another trend that’s been happening this season that is worth noting, and that’s the shift away from sexual violence or sex as a transaction and toward the idea of sex as an act of love and creating family.

All of this points to how the series is building to a Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) romance and love scene, despite their blood relationship. This more recent emphasis on love and progeny is important as a sign of optimism and resilience in a time of war. This is also a season in which characters lost children: the Sands, the Tarlys, Deanerys with Viserion. It won’t be enough to just win the battle,

Will the Lannisters finally pay their debt?

As the fourth episode in season 7 of Game of Thrones fast approaches, the People Now team is counting down their top three must-sees for the next episode of HBO’s fantasy epic.

1. Fire and ice: What’s next for Daenerys and Jon Snow?

Last week’s episode featured the long-awaited meeting between the show’s frontrunners for the Iron Throne, Jon Snow, now King in the North, and Daenerys Targaryen (who, at this point, has more titles than there are white guys with beards on the show). Despite many fans hoping for an instant romantic connection,

Review: Game of Thrones – Season 7 – Episode 3

Is it too late to change my bet to Lannister?

Season 7 of Game of Thrones seems to be following a specific pattern. Each episode slowly moves the plot along, before a 10 minute explosive final scene. Last week, we saw Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) utterly annihilate Yara’s (Gemma Whelan) fleet. This week, we saw the Greyjoys utterly annihilate the Unsullied’s fleet, whilst Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) looked on powerlessly. And saw Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) take Highgarden, only to receive the last bitter admission of Lady Olenna (Diana Rigg). All this in the last 5 minutes.

But I’m getting ahead of myself a little. There was plenty more to appreciate here than the final scene of chaos. So we might as well start at the top.

In a moment that fans have wanted since the story began, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) finally meet. And its glorious.

'Game of Thrones' Recap: 50 Shades of Greyjoy
It ends with a naval battle as grandiose as any we've seen in the series. But the strong second chapter of Game of Thrones' seventh season – "Stormborn" – navigates even more treacherous waters. You'll Never Guess the Game of Thrones Character Sophie Turner Would Bring Back to Life

All of the characters on Game of Thrones have suffered in some horrifying way over the course of the show's seven seasons, but few have endured worse than Sansa Stark. The eldest daughter of the Stark family begins the series with her head in the clouds, a prissy young lady whose only goal is to marry Joffrey Baratheon. Unfortunately her relationship with the young king quickly sours due to the fact he's a raging, murderous psychopath (suddenly those guys holding up fish on Tinder don't seem so bad, right?). Joffrey physically, verbally, and mentally tortures Sansa, which is a big reason his grisly death in season four is so damn satisfying. At the show's girl-power-themed Comic-Con panel on Friday, moderator Kristian Nairn (aka Hodor) asked the cast which character they'd bring back from the dead if they could, à la Beric Dondarrion. Of all the people Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa,

The Overwhelming Theme of the Game of Thrones Comic-Con Panel? Women Kicking Ass

The cast of Game of Thrones swung by Comic-Con's legendary Hall H on Friday for a panel about the show, where they touched on everything from turning the HBO hit into a musical about a cyborg to how freakin' adorable Alfie Allen's dog is. Though the topics ranged far and wide, a theme began to emerge in a lot of their answers: the show's female characters are ridiculously badass. From Sophie Turner's thoughts on what the future holds for Sansa to Gwendoline Christie's opinion on Brienne of Tarth's love life, check out the highlights below. RelatedThis New Look at Game of Thrones Season 7 Is Tense as Hell Gwendoline Christie on what Brienne thinks of Tormund's flirtations: "What I love about Brienne of Tarth is that I don't think that at the foremost of her consciousness is a value system that's based on how men appreciate her. So, Are Grey Worm and Missandei a Couple or What?

It's a tale as old as time: a sexy eunuch meets a former-slave-turned-right-hand-woman-of-the-Dragon-Queen, and sparks fly. Ok, maybe it's a tale as old as Game of Thrones, but still. What the heck is even going on with Grey Worm and Missandei? Are they a couple? Will we see more of them together? Despite their flirtations over the seasons, Miss Worm (as I'm choosing to call them) aren't official. "There's things firing between them," said Jacob Anderson (aka Grey Worm) during the show's Comic-Con panel on Friday. "There's chemistry. I want those kids to be happy. I want them to find happiness with each other. Everything is so sad." Truer words have never been spoken. RelatedHere's What It Would Take For Tormund to Have a Real Shot With Brienne When asked if Dany would be happy about the union, Anderson said, "She'd do the wedding! She'd be involved. Not involved." Way to make it weird.
