Don't Worry, the 13 Reasons Why Cast Actually Really Loves Each Other Irl
13 Reasons Why is one of Netflix's biggest hits, and if you've read the book or watched the show, you know that the relationships between the students at Liberty High School are, well, complicated. While the cast does an amazing job portraying that heartbreak on screen, they're actually all incredibly close in real life. The show's stars, including Dylan Minnette (Clay Jensen), Katherine Langford (Hannah Baker), Brandon Flynn (Justin), and Alisha Boe (Jessica), regularly hung out during filming and are now our new favorite Hollywood friend group. And with season two returning in 2018, we're sure they're only getting started. Keep reading for proof that nothing can tear them apart (not even cassette tapes). Frightfest 2017: ’68 Kill’ Review

Stars: Matthew Gray Gubler, AnnaLynne McCord, Alisha Boe, Sheila Vand, Sam Eidson | Written and Directed by Trent Haaga

Seemingly inhabiting the same universe as Cheap Thrills, the film he co-wrote with David Chirchirillo, 68 Kill, Trent Haaga’s second feature as director (his first being Chop) is a similar deep-dive into the fringes of American society – an underbelly that walks the fine line between morality and depravity. A world where people will do anything for money. Or so it would seem.

Trailer-dwelling, sewage-pumping Chip (Matthew Gray Gubler) may not lead the most glamorous life, but he’s got one thing going for him: he’s head over heels infatuated with his girlfriend Liza (AnnaLynne McCord). He’s more than willing to overlook her wild streak, the fact that she’s hooking up with their landlord and her rather extreme mood swings. So when she proposes a plot to steal $68,000, he goes along with the plan.

‘13 Reasons Why’ Adds Seven New Actors for Season 2

‘13 Reasons Why’ Adds Seven New Actors for Season 2
“13 Reasons Why” is beefing up its cast, adding seven new actors to Season 2 of the Netflix hit, Variety has learned.

Anne Winters, Bryce Cass, Chelsea Alden, Allison Miller, Samantha Logan, Kelli O’Hara, and Ben Lawson have joined the second season of “13 Reasons Why,” which is currently in production. None of the new cast members are series regulars, but many will appear in majority of the episodes throughout the season.

The new actors will play a variety of roles, including new students, and also more mature characters, such as a litigator, who will presumably be central to the storyline that is expected to revolve around a lawsuit filed by parents (Kate Walsh and Brian d’Arcy James) against the high school in the series, in light of last season’s suicide by student Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford).

Among the students are Winters, who will play Chloe, the beautiful “it girl” at Liberty High and the new head

Katherine Langford & Dylan Minnette on How ‘13 Reasons Why’s’ Popularity — and Controversy — Impacted Their Careers

Katherine Langford & Dylan Minnette on How ‘13 Reasons Why’s’ Popularity — and Controversy — Impacted Their Careers
“13 Reasons Why” landed with a bang heard round the internet: The series, about a high school girl who commits suicide, became the most tweeted-about show of 2017 just one month after its premiere, and made overnight stars out of its two leads, Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette.

It also sparked a national conversation about suicide — and what’s appropriate to be shown on TV.

The actors, who were thrust into the spotlight, faced a crash course in the power and pressure of social media.

“You have an idea of what fame is and what celebrities are like and what acting is like, and you think you can just focus on the work, but in reality, you can’t just necessarily focus on the work because it comes with the privilege and responsibility of having a larger platform,” says Langford. “That’s something that I’ve tried to deal with in a very levelheaded way.”

Fantasia 2017: 68 Kill Review: Dir. Trent Haaga (2017)

68 Kill Review: A young man finds his life in tatters after agreeing to help his girlfriend steal from her sugar daddy in the despicably dark and deadly 68 Kill. 68 Kill Review

Hollywood and society is obsessed with fitting everything, including movies, into boxes. This sadly means that if a film doesn’t easily slot into one of those boxes, most distributors / studios pass on it. Thankfully though there are occasionally people out there that take the risk on what is different and our reward is films such as 68 Kill. The film is comprised with elements of thriller, black comedy, road movie, action, horror, crime and romance stitched together, the result a break-neck pace, insane thrill ride. It might not fit into a neat little box, but it will entertain and enthral all who watch it.

"Deranged human beings doing awful things." IFC Midnight has revealed a trailer for a film titled 68 Kill, a crime comedy from actor/director Trent Haaga. Season one of 13 Reasons Why tells the story of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), a 17-year-old girl who tragically dies by suicide and leaves behind 13 cassette tapes for her classmates who she feels contributed to her death. While Hannah's tapes reveal dark and heartbreaking secrets about things that happened to her, including rape and bullying, the story was obviously very one-sided. And since season two is officially coming and we already know there will be a new narrator, we can't help but wonder what else we'll uncover about what went down between the students at Liberty High School. But if you didn't listen extremely carefully to season one, you may have missed two major hints that suggest Hannah wasn't always telling the truth.
