"....'Falling Water' is the story of three unrelated people, who slowly realize that they are dreaming separate parts of a single common dream.

‘Falling Water’ & ‘Berlin Station’ Review: Ambitious Dramas Succeed With Smarts

With the debuts of USA Network’s Falling Water on October 13 and Epix’s Berlin Station on October 16, the battle to be a cable contender just became more interesting. As I say in my video review above, both series — Gale Anne Hurd and Blake Masters’ on the home of Mr. Robot, and the Olen Steinhauer-created and Bradford Winters-showrun spy thriller, respectively — succeed admirably in planting flags for their channels, though with very different approaches. If you are…

Falling Water, a new fantasy drama on USA, is asking a lot of its viewers. It's offering up some stunning visual imagery, but it's wrapping that imagery around a difficult-to-understand plot that, according to most reviewers, makes the series frustrating and not exactly exciting.

The series involves several characters, including a designer, a cop, and a corporate security expert, who lead wildly different lives in different places around the world. The thread that connects them is that they're all having extremely vivd, disturbing dreams, and we begin to realize quickly that they are somehow connected by the similarities in their dreams.

The series was created by the late Henry Bromell (Homeland) and Blake Masters (Brotherhood), and it is produced by Gale Anne Hurd (The Walking Dead). With a pedigree that includes such

San Diego Comic-Con: Falling Water Producers Blake Masters, Gale Anne Hurd Dish On New USA Series

At San Diego Comic-Con, I had the opportunity to speak with the cast and crew of many of my favorite series. In this case, I also got to speak with the Executive Producers of a brand new show which I had not yet seen. USA’s upcoming series, Falling Water, was screened for fans at Comic-Con, and I was able to sit down with Ep’s Blake Masters and Gale Anne Hurd to discuss what those of us who missed the screening can expect from the series. So of course the main thing that everyone wants to know is what Falling Water will be like.

TCA Summer Press Tour Day 8 Quotes: 'Mr. Robot' Swearing and Mariah Carey's Reality

TCA Summer Press Tour Day 8 Quotes: 'Mr. Robot' Swearing and Mariah Carey's Reality
NBCUniversal's various cable entities came to the Television Critics Association press tour on Wednesday (Aug. 3) and the room of reporters spent the morning on sci-fi shows that are or aren't sci-fi and the afternoon with an alleged medium, allegedly altruistic plastic surgeons and... Mariah Carey. Here are a few highlights or points of discussion: *** USA's new drama Falling Water is straight-up science fiction. It's about dream-sharing and other stuff I can't adequately explain in 50 words, but it's speculative fiction, pure and simple. Co-creator Blake Masters and Ep Gale Anne Hurd disagree. "I

‘Falling Water’ Was Dreamed of Long Before ‘Inception,’ Producer Says
Don’t think of “Falling Water” as “Inception, Part Deux.” USA’s upcoming thriller, about a group of people linked by a mysterious dream they all share, might sound a lot like “Inception,” the hard-to-parse 2010 movie smash starring Leonard DiCaprio. But executive producer and co-creator Blake Masters told reporters Wednesday at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour that the show actually sprang from a drunken conversation that he had in 2006 with his late writing partner, Henry Bromell.
