Disney Channel and Step Up Star Alyson Stoner Details 'Traumatizing Experiences' of Hollywood
From her standout dance in Missy Elliott‘s “Work It” video to parts in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Cheaper By the Dozen and the Step Up franchise, Alyson Stoner had a pretty busy childhood — nabbing roles in high-profile projects since the early 2000s.

But nearly 50 films and animated voiceover roles later, the former Disney channel star admits fame isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

“Being famous as a kid is weird and unhealthy,” Stoner, now 24, revealed in a candid YouTube video posted in August — which she said she made in an effort to prevent fans

YouTube Star Kurt Hugo Schneider’s Butterfinger Cover Of The Backstreet Boys Is Strange, With Candy

Kurt Hugo Schneider is no stranger to sponsored content, and throughout his many interactions with brands, he’s made music using everything from cars to Coke bottles. His latest instrument is Butterfinger candy bars, which he hooked up to digital devices to create the most bizarre cover of The Backstreet Boys you’ll ever see.

Schneider, working with the team at the Reach Agency, rigged up each Butterfinger to correspond to its own note. As his bandmates bit into the candy in front of them, they produced the pleasant melody of “I Want It That Way,” the 1999 boy band classic. Max Schneider and Alyson Stoner joined the fun as co-vocalists. As far as we can tell, they didn’t aid their singing with Butterfingers in any way, though they still sound great nonetheless.

As some of his commenters have noted, Kurt Schneider has mastered the art of seamlessly incorporating branded content into his videos.

The first round of programming for YouTube Red’s original movies was released Wednesday, and includes projects from top creators like PewDiePie, Meg DeAngelis, Jake Paul, the Rooster Teeth team and Lilly Singh — whose documentary “A Trip to Unicorn Island” premiered at the Tcl Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

The original film follows YouTube personality Singh, who has over 1 billion views and 8 million subscribers, on her world tour. Through the 26-city trip, Singh aspires to spread happiness and show how discovering “Unicorn Island” (her metaphorical happy place) saved her life.

Though Singh is used to performing in front of the camera — the 27-year-old posted her first video in 2010, and now uploads new content every Monday and Thursday to her channel IISuperwomanII — she isn’t accustomed to having a director.

“I usually control when the camera goes on and off, so there were so many moments throughout this entire journey where I

‘Smosh: The Movie’: The Biggest Test Yet for Crossover Appeal of Digital Stars

‘Smosh: The Movie’: The Biggest Test Yet for Crossover Appeal of Digital Stars
Meet Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla — accidental international comedy superstars.

Ten years ago, the Internet-famous duo behind Smosh were teens hanging out in the Sacramento suburbs making funny videos and song parodies just for the hell of it, and sharing them with friends on this new site called YouTube.

Today, Smosh is a multimillion-dollar enterprise, counting more than 30 million subscribers across its six YouTube channels, and encompassing merchandise, comics and game apps. The guys are on the vanguard of a trend Hollywood is eyeing closely: They’re starring in “Smosh: The Movie,” a slapstick-y caper in which Hecox and Padilla teleport into different YouTubers’ channels in a quest to delete an embarrassing video of Anthony. The comedy is set for digital release July 24, after a red-carpet premiere in Los Angeles and fan screening in Anaheim, Calif., timed for the annual VidCon online-video confab.

“It’s something that the fans really wanted,

'Father of the Bride': Steve Martin and Kimberly Williams. Top Five Father's Day Movies? From giant Gregory Peck to tyrant John Gielgud What would be the Top Five Father's Day movies ever made? Well, there have been countless films about fathers and/or featuring fathers of various sizes, shapes, and inclinations. In terms of quality, these range from the amusing – e.g., the 1950 version of Cheaper by the Dozen; the Oscar-nominated The Grandfather – to the nauseating – e.g., the 1950 version of Father of the Bride; its atrocious sequel, Father's Little Dividend. Although I'm unable to come up with the absolute Top Five Father's Day Movies – or rather, just plain Father Movies – ever made, below are the first five (actually six, including a remake) "quality" patriarch-centered films that come to mind. Now, the fathers portrayed in these films aren't all heroic, loving, and/or saintly paternal figures. Several are
