8 Photos of Chris Pine and His Famous Dad That Prove the Apple Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree
Chris Pine has been making us swoon since he first burst onto the scene in the 2006 romantic comedy Just My Luck, but his very first TV appearance actually happened when he was just 3 years old. In case you weren't aware, Chris's dad is none other than Robert Pine - the actor who famously played Sgt. Joseph Getraer on NBC's CHiPs in the late '70s and early '80s - and in 1983, Chris joined his dad on the show as a boy named Christopher. The two teamed up for an adorable duet of "Hurry, Hurry Climb the Ladder" and melted hearts everywhere. Of course, this isn't the only glimpse we've gotten of their close bond. Robert often steps out to support his son at his movie premieres, and back in May 2014, the veteran actor said he knew "from the very first moment" that Chris would make it big in Hollywood.

Film Review: Mother's Day

  • LRM Online
The Bottom Line (1 minute review)

My mom always said, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything.” Sorry mom.

“Mother’s Day” directed by the legendary Garry Marshall features a star-studded ensemble cast in a holiday-themed film that (hopefully) completes the trilogy of star-studded ensemble cast in a holiday-themed film that includes “Valentine’s Day” and “New Year’s Eve” directed by Marshall. With that said, fans of either movie will probably enjoy “Mother’s Day,” which follows a group of mothers, and one dad, in separate story lines that eventually merge (more or less) after crisscrossing, a few near misses and a lot of coincidences. It’s a format that can work exceedingly well and is popular because audiences can see many of their favorite stars in the same movie.

Both “Valentine’s Day” and “New Year’s Eve” have an advantage, however, because

Mother’S Day – Review

Sappiness overflows in Mother’S Day, an assembly-line rom-com with little on its mind beyond clichés and predictable formula. 81-year old director Garry Marshall, still mining the calendar after the similar New Year’S Eve and Valentine’S Day, has gathered a bouquet of celebrity movie stars including Julia Roberts, Jennifer Aniston, Jason Sudeikis, and Kate Hudson, and shuffled them into tiresome skits about motherhood gone right and wrong. Mother’S Day is a shallow and sickly-sweet offering best avoided.

Jennifer Aniston has the largest role in Mother’S Day as Sandy, a divorced mother of two sons whose ex-husband Henry (Timothy OIyphant) has married the much younger Tina (Shay Mitchell), who tries too hard to be a cool stepmom. The story jumps between Sandy’s dilemma and those of a dozen others, such as childless Miranda (Julia Roberts), an uptight QVC superstar who has motherhood forced on her by

Blu-ray Reviews: Empire Of The Ants, Jaws Of Satan, Food Of The Gods, Frogs

  • DailyDead
Animal horror was big in the 1970s, and it’s not just the fault of Jaws. Environmental concerns carrying over from the previous decade were seeping into the American consciousness and, by extension, the American genre film.

Pesticides, pollution and ever-increasing concerns about nuclear power funneled their way into a slew of eco-horror movies in which mankind’s incessant tampering with the environment led Mother Nature to retaliate in the form killer animals, insects and fish, often mutated to gigantic size and always ready to kill. Titles like Grizzly and Night of the Lepus and Kingdom of the Spiders and The Swarm were de rigueur for ‘70s horror, and while the genre has never really gone away — every year sees a few new killer animal films (and that’s not counting the SyFy Channel nonsense like Crocosaurus) — it reached its zenith during that decade. Now as part of their Summer of Fear,

30 Years Later, ‘CHiPs’ Cast Reunites
Special correspondent Sheryl Underwood interviews the cast of the beloved cop show.

It’s been more than 30 years since Ponch and Jon rode off into the sunset on the hit buddy cop show CHiPs. The cast sat down together for the first time with special correspondent Sheryl Underwood to talk on-set drama and what they've been up to since turning in their badges.

Larry Wilcox and Erik Estrada played California Highway Patrol partners Jon Baker and "Ponch" Poncherello on the show and while rumors of cast conflicts persisted when they were filming, the two downplayed any feud.

"As far as I'm concerned, I always felt like, you know, we're different personalities," Wilcox told Underwood. "That's okay."

"Yeah, we French kissed and made up," Estrada joked.

News: This 'Roseanne' Reunion Included a Great George Clooney Story!

Estrada left the show in 1981 and was replaced by a familiar face to today’s reality fans, though in those
