Cannes Sales Art for Wolves Bays at the Moon

Just in time for Cannes comes the first official artwork for David Hayter's Wolves that some may find just a bit too Twilight-esque, but hey... Jason Momoa and Stephen McHattie are in it so we're all in no matter what!

The film, which writer/director Hayter previously described as "Twilight with a bit more bite to it and without abstinence," stars Lucas Till (X-Men: First Class), Jason Momoa (Conan, "Game of Thrones"), and Merritt Patterson (The Hole, "The Selection") along with Stephen McHattie, Kaitlyn Leeb, Simon Northwood, and John Pyper-Ferguson. Hayter is best known for writing/co-writing Watchmen, X2, The Scorpion King, and X-Men.

David Hayter. the writer behind X-men, X2, Watchmen and the voice of Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid Games, is currently filming his directorial debut Wolves. Hayter has described his film as:

Twilight with a bit more bite to it, and without abstinence.

Lucas Til plays an 18 year old who has runaway after turning into a werewolf and slaughtering his family. He ends up in a town known as Lupine Ridge, where a battle for dominance among werewolf clans is taking place. Here’s the official synopsis:

Spotlight: Simon Northwood's next stunt

Simon Northwood can take a hit, and now he wants to star in one. The 42-year-old British-born Torontonian is an established movie and TV stuntman — 300, Outlander, 'Flashpoint' — but he's also an actor.

However, it isn’t easy convincing filmmakers that the guy who throws himself off a building can also deliver killer dialogue. “When you are a stunt performer you get really pegged into, ‘Well, he’s just a stunt guy, he doesn’t practice acting,’” says Northwood on the line from the Toronto home he shares with his wife and son. “So you just hope the casting agents will have an imagination.”
