President Trump Mocked for Making One of His Own Tweets into a Twitter Banner

President Trump Mocked for Making One of His Own Tweets into a Twitter Banner
On Monday, President Trump took one of his tweets to the next level … of his Twitter profile.

The president was widely mocked on social media after he briefly changed his Twitter banner to display one of his own tweets.

The tweet itself came after former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper testified before a Senate Judiciary subcommittee hearing that he was not aware of any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

“Director Clapper reiterated what everybody, including the fake media already knows – there is ‘no evidence’ of collusion w/ Russia and Trump,” read Trump’s tweet, which

On this day in pop culture history: the first ‘X-Men’ movie opened in theaters

  • Hitfix
16 years ago today was (arguably) the beginning of the modern superhero movie era. Even if you give that distinction to Spider-Man or Iron Man, it’s undeniable that the first X-Men movie paved the way for the proliferation of caped heroes in Hollywood today. In 2000, the only other superhero movies released were negatively received comedies The Specials and Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV, and M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable — a superhero movie in a time before they could be baldfaced superhero movies. Now, everyone wants in on the superhero genre, which is now producing the buzziest and most lucrative blockbusters of 2016. The ninth and most recent X-Men movie, Apocalypse, ultimately delivered disappointing numbers in the ever-more-crowded superhero line-up, but that didn’t stop Fox from ordering a pilot for what looks to be a series based in the X-Men world. Other notable July 14 happenings in pop culture history: • 1966:

Marie Claire Editor Called Out for Hypocrisy on Body-Shaming

  • The Wrap
When Marie Claire executive editor Lea Goldman accused a male blogger of body-shaming on Twitter Monday, he responded by digging up old tweets in which Goldman had also shamed women about their appearance. It all started when Stephen Miller tweeted out a side-by-side image of Madonna at the Met Gala and the aged version of Carice van Houten’s Melisandre in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” “Madonna with necklace. Madonna without necklace,” Miller tweeted, a clear reference to the episode 1 shocker in which Melisandre revealed her true self after taking off her magical necklace. Steve Miller Slammed by Black Keys Frontman Who Inducted Him Into Rock Hall of Fame
Steve Miller won some kudos for taking the music industry to task during his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last week, but the Black Keys, who inducted him into the hall, weren’t big fans of the display. In an interview with Rolling Stone on Wednesday, Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach said he and his bandmate, Pat Carney, were disappointed by Miller, who complained about, among other things, the fact that the Hall wanted to charge his bandmates and their wives $10,000 to attend the ceremony. Auerbach went so far as to say that he and Carney

Steve Miller Slams Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame At Induction Ceremony

Nwa and Only Nwa Dress Right for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Ceremony (Photo)

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony is usually an embarrassing thing, fashion-wise. But that wasn’t the case for N.W.A members Mc Ren, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and DJ Yella, maybe the first people in the history of the awards to get the clothes right. Rock stars try to respect the supposed importance of the ceremony by wearing something nice, while also showing that they’re still rock ‘n’ roll after all these years by wearing something supposedly rebellious. You get a jumble of leather pants and loud jackets, T-shirts and crazy hats and ironic ties

Steve Miller Rips Rock Hall of Fame for Trying to Take the Money and Run
Steve Miller says the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, like the stoner robbers of his hit “Take the Money and Run,” are trying to rip people off. During his induction to the Hall on Friday in Brooklyn, Miller gently critiqued the organization’s nomination process and slowness to induct women artists. Backstage, though, he really brought the heat. Because you know what other women he thinks the Hall is disrespecting? The wives of the guys in his band: The Steve Miller Band. “When they told me I was inducted they said, ‘You have two tickets — one for your wife and one.

(instagram.com/kevinhart4real)

In early 2014, Universal PicturesRide Along became an instant hit, grossing more than $150 million worldwide as audiences fell hard for the unlikely comic pairing of Ice-Cube and Kevin Hart. And while most sequels don’t begin preproduction until well after moviegoers experience the first, Ride Along 2 was a follow up that the filmmakers knew they had to do.

Starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Ken Jeong, Benjamin Bratt, Olivia Munn, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter and Sherri Shepherd, the sequel picks up about a year after our heroes’ last adventure. Plans for a quick trip to Miami go awry when their unorthodox policing gets them into a compromising situation that threatens to derail a major case…and Ben and Angela’s upcoming wedding day.
