The Voice Recap: Battle Stations!

The Voice Recap: Battle Stations!
It’s a cliché and a half to say that everything can change during The Voice’s Battles. In fact, if Carson Daly said it, I’m sure I’d roll my eyes. But it’s also, weirdly, true. Last season, I went into the Battles backing Felicia Temple and came out in awe of (eventual winner) Chris Blue. Going into Season 13’s Battles, my money was on… well, you know. However, I wouldn’t be in the slightest surprised if, by the time they were over, I was rooting for a different singer. Did Monday’s kickoff of the Battles,

He died at his home in Largo, Florida. Here's part of the WWE's statement on Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

"WWE is saddened to learn that WWE Hall of Famer Bobby Heenan, regarded by many as the greatest manager in sports-entertainment history, has passed away at age 73. Finn Balor teases Bullet Club in WWE, backstage heat on Randy Orton? – WrestleTalk News

Oli Davis rounds up the biggest professional wrestling news in his daily WrestleTalk column…

Despite his WWE return being reported as “sooner rather than later” leading up to Wrestlemania weekend, his daughter leaking that the two sides had been in talks, and him only being an hour’s drive from the event on the day, Hulk Hogan did not show up at Vince McMahon’s biggest show of the year.

It’s now been two years since WWE cut all ties with the Hulkster when audio of him using racial slurs was made public during Hogan’s sex tape scandal with Gawker, and an inevitable return to the company now might be even further in the future.

The Hulkster’s best friend forever – and business partner – Jimmy Hart recently spoke on the radio about their upcoming plans. While he answered the usual WWE return question with the usual response “never

Cm Punk & Batista on Randy Orton shoot, Braun Strowman injury a work? – WrestleTalk News

Oli Davis rounds up the biggest professional wrestling news in his daily WrestleTalk column…

Randy Orton helped create a new wrestling meme from outta nowhere at the weekend, when he retweeted a critique of the indy match formula – handshake, drawn out move exchange, this is awesome chant, strike exchange, dive, no sell Indy strongstyle, dive, more strikes, no sells, dive, flippy floppy sequence, dive, etc.

Just got this …. pic.twitter.com/S8Vczlmbew

Randy Orton (@RandyOrton) May 13, 2017

This initially drew responses from a seemingly angry Tjp, a surprisingly agreeable Ricochet, and a merchandise potential realising Will Ospreay.

The Viper didn’t strike again until Bubba Ray Dudley jokingly tweeted about his own version of the ‘…dive’ – a belly flop from the top rope.

Brock Lesnar WWE return date revealed, Randy Orton shoots on Twitter – WrestleTalk News

Oli Davis rounds up the biggest professional wrestling news in his daily WrestleTalk column…

Randy Orton very rarely posts on social media, but when he does, it’s often noteworthy. Mainly because it rivals Daniel Bryan in the art of not giving an F-word.

A debate over the formulaic nature of independent wrestling started over the weekend, when wrestling legend and current head Ovw trainer Rip Rogers shared a message from wrestler Daniel ‘D-Man’ Parker on Twitter:

Just got this …. pic.twitter.com/S8Vczlmbew

— Rip Rogers (@Hustler2754) May 13, 2017

I too enjoyed Ring of Honor’s War of the Worlds show at the weeken-oh wait. He’s being sarcastic.

This would’ve most likely stayed a fringe discussion on Twitter. But then the message was reposted by the WWE Champion, with the caption:

And that’s when everyone started doing

Matt & Jeff Hardy sign with Roh, loads of Tna star returns

After leaving Tna Impact Wrestling last Monday, The Broken Hardys became professional wrestling’s hottest free agents…until Jack Swagger requested his WWE release, of course. With Jeff Hardy saying in past interviews that he wants to end his career in WWE, and Matt continuingly teasing a return to the company by tweeting Sasha Banks and Bray Wyatt, it seemed as though the brothers were on their way back to Vince McMahon. Especially when Pro Wrestling Sheet reported on Friday that “Broken Matt and Jeff Hardy have begun preliminary talks with WWE about a return to the company” and that “right now things are looking good.”

That ‘right now’ turned out to be about 24 hours.

The following night, at Ring of Honor’s Manhattan Mayhem VI show, the Broken Hardys shockingly turned up after The Young Bucks retained their tag team titles against Lio Rush and Jay White. The Bucks

Ian McShane Wants 'Game of Thrones' Fans to 'Get a F**king Life'

Ian McShane Wants 'Game of Thrones' Fans to 'Get a F**king Life'
Ian McShane is throwing some major shade at Game of Thrones fans.

**Spoiler alert: If you’re not caught up with the latest season, stop reading here.**

The British actor appeared on the HBO series last year, making his debut as Brother Ray in a very crucial episode.

During that episode it was revealed that The Hound, played by Rory McCann, was still alive. But, prior to the episode airing, McShane shared a few too many details about his role, making many Thrones fans extremely upset.

"Can you believe it? 'Oh, you're giving it away.' Firstly, you love it," the 74-year-old actor told Empire magazine in an interview published in its April 2017 issue. "Secondly, you'll have forgotten by the time it comes out...and what am I giving away? A character beloved by everybody returns. Get a f**king life."

Ian McShane Tells Game of Thrones Fans to "Get a F--king Life"

Ian McShane Tells Game of Thrones Fans to
Ian McShane? More like Ian McShade! The British star appeared on Game of Thrones for one lousy (okay, it was pretty good, but regardless) episode and not only does he appear to not respect the fans, he also seems to reckon he can tell them what to do. And what do we say to the Lord of Shade? "Not today!" McShane made his debut as Brother Ray on HBO's cult fantasy series last summer. Months earlier, he had angered many viewers who hate spoilers when he revealed in interviews what they felt was too much info about his role and the plot line and also teased the return of a character. "Can you believe it? 'Oh, you're...

Ian McShane Says Game of Thrones Fans Need to Get a Life

I’ll be the first to tell you that I like Ian MacShane. He’s one of the best “gruff” actors out there. No one does “man” roles better than Ian MacShane with the exception of maybe Sam Elliott. You might remember McShane appearing on Game of Thrones last season. While he wasn’t on the show long he definitely left his mark and fans loved his appearance. McShane, who played Brother Ray in “The Broken Man,” just said something he may very well regret about Got fans. Here’s the full rundown from Digital Spy Ian McShane was pretty awesome in his one-off

The Undertaker retiring at Wrestlemania 33? Ecw stars return to WWE

There are many great movie projects that have never seen the light of day. Tim Burton’s Superman Lives. Stanley Kubrick’s Napoleon. Tarkovsky’s The Idiot. And now, unfortunately, we can add another one…to the list!

Chris Jericho revealed in his recent interview with Live Audio Wrestling that he has pitched a buddy cop movie for WWE Studios with him and Kevin Owens. They came up with the idea after Vince McMahon really liked their chemistry together, but sadly it isn’t happening. Because WWE Studios already have brilliant projects such as Incarnate with Mark Henry, Temple with Seth Rollins, and The Marine 5: Battleground with The Miz, Maryse, Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas and Naomi.

Another gimmick that might be close to jumping the shark is Chin McMahon himself, James Ellsworth.

Ellsworth has posted on his Facebook page that he is “no longer taking anymore independent wrestling bookings,

Aj Styles teases Royal Rumble WWE return for Shawn Michaels

Next year’s Royal Rumble is set to take place on the 29th January in the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Just like Wrestlemania this year, WWE will presumably try to top their Royal Rumble attendance record – which was set in the same venue exactly 20 years prior with 60,477 people.

And, if everything goes more tits up than Dana Brooke on a sun lounger, they can always just ignore 80% of the stadium like Tna did for Lockdown back in 2013.

To stop that from happening, WWE need some really big draws. There’s already been rumours that the Seth Rollins vs Triple H match is being brought forward from its original Wrestlemania 33 date to the Rumble, Bubba Ray Dudley teased an Alamodome return on Twitter earlier this week, and Stone Cold and The Undertaker are rumoured possible cameos.

The latest idea, however…well, it’s more teasing than Dana Brooke on a

Why the Men at the End of Last Week's Game of Thrones Are So Important

This season of Game of Thrones is shaping up to be the season of returns. The Blackfish and the Hound have returned after long disappearances, and Sunday's episode sees another return: Beric Dondarrion, the elusive leader of the Brotherhood Without Banners, meets the Hound in the Riverlands. Who Is Beric Dondarrion? Beric is among the fighters Ned Stark sends out to the Riverlands while acting as Hand of the King. Beric's initial mission is to execute the Mountain and restore peace to the land. The Mountain does eventually kill Beric, but luckily for Beric, the disgraced priest Thoros of Myr resurrects him. After Ned's death, Beric gathers his forces and becomes the leader of the newly formed Brotherhood Without Banners, dedicated to protecting the smallfolk and resisting the Lannisters. Why Is He Always Dying? Beric freely admits to the Hound in Sunday's episode that he's not the best fighter in Westeros.
