‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Boss Promises You Will Never Expect Where Season 9 Ends Up
After two episodes, the long-awaited ninth season of Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is finally start to shape its ultimate narrative. Little dignities, big hijinks, and Palestinian chicken aside, the HBO series lives and dies by the strength of its overall arc, a backbone that’s helped deliver such classic storylines as “that time Larry did Broadway” and “hey, Richard Lewis is dying.” This year, it’s all about the fatwa. And the “Fatwa!”

“Once we landed on the arc for the season, once we realized that we were going to do him writing a musical called ‘Fatwa!’ and then getting a fatwa for writing ‘Fatwa!,’ I saw where that should take the season,” producer and directer Jeff Schaffer recently told IndieWire.

Why Cheryl Hines Was Happy to Return to ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ (Exclusive)

Why Cheryl Hines Was Happy to Return to ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ (Exclusive)
When Curb Your Enthusiasm returned for its eighth season in 2011, it was a strange experience for Cheryl Hines, who is best known for her role as Cheryl, Larry David’s onscreen wife who left David on the show several seasons prior.

“It was kind of sad,” Hines tells Et of being largely absent from the show’s eighth season. “It was a little different because before, I would watch the new episodes with my friends. We had a little Sunday night thing. When I was working on Curb I could stay up, because we had already shot it,” she says. “But when Curb came back and I wasn’t in it, it wasn't quite the same because I was working at the time. I had to get up at four in the morning for an early call time on Mondays, so I couldn’t really stay up to watch it.”

It had been

Robin Williams Accused of Stealing Jokes in New Book
The late Robin Williams has been accused of stealing jokes back in the early days of his comedic career in a new comedy tell-all book written by the legendary Budd Friedman. Friedman founded the New York and Los Angeles Improv Comedy Clubs and has seen a lot of things in his 85 years. In addition to ratting out Robin Williams, Friedman devotes an entire chapter to the iconic and polarizing comedian, Andy Kaufman, and dishes on managing Bette Midler as well as witnessing Johnny Carson getting wasted and making out with an 18-year old girl in the backseat of a car.

Many comedians have been accused of joke stealing, but as it turns out, Robin Williams was reportedly notorious for it back when he was for starting out. The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Budd Friedman about his book and the author revealed that Richard Lewis and Robert Wuhl both accuse Williams

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 Premiere: Was It Worth the Wait?

Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 Premiere: Was It Worth the Wait?
Larry is pretty, pretty, pretty much a dead man walking by the conclusion of Sunday’s long-anticipated Season 9 premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm.

PhotosCurb Your Enthusiasm: The 12 Worst Things Larry Has Ever Done, Ranked

As we learn at the top of the super-sized opener, Larry David’s lead curmudgeon has spent the past five years working on a new musical titled simply and provocatively Fatwa! The Musical. Word of the top-scret, Ayatollah Khomeini-skewering project gets out via Larry himself during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and, needless to say, the Iran’s Ayatollah is not amused. In fact,

Long Shot, the latest TV sensation, has just landed on Netflix – and it’s Curb Your Enthusiasm: the true crime documentary

It’s a good time to be a Curb Your Enthusiasm completist. With the new, feverishly anticipated series just days away, obsessives have been able to rewatch all the old episodes, enjoy interviews with the key players – cranky ones with Larry David, stream-of-consciousness ones with Richard Lewis – and listen to the remarkably in-depth Origins podcast about the show’s conception.

But Netflix has just uploaded perhaps the biggest curio of them all. It’s called Long Shot, and it’s basically Curb Your Enthusiasm: the true crime documentary.

Watch Larry David's Classic Gripes in New 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Trailer
In the six years since Curb Your Enthusiasm's last episode, Larry David's distaste for everyday minutiae has only sharpened. The hilarious new Season Nine trailer unfolds like a greatest hits package. The famous crank angrily slaps an almost-empty shampoo bottle, becomes outraged over a broken shoelace, gets into a verbal altercation with a judge and tells a sobbing woman at a funeral to "shut up."

In what could be the funniest scene, David bickers with an office employee (Portlandia's Carrie Brownstein) for taking two days off work for constipation.

Larry David Is Back and as Unhappy as Ever in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ Trailer (Watch)
Judging by the new trailer for “Curb Your Enthusiasm” just released by HBO, everyone’s favorite misanthrope hasn’t changed one bit.

Larry David shushes a crying woman at a funeral. He knocks over a woman spraying perfume in a department store. He chases away two people who are kissing in front of him. “You’re allowed to be happy, but not in front of me,” he tells them.

“A grave injustice has been done here. We are no better than the beasts in the field!” he intones to a judge before committing the ultimate sin in court: Saying “yoo-hoo” to the judge, who’s none too pleased.

“You can’t yoo-hoo a judge?” David retorts.

It falls to “Curb” star Richard Lewis to deliver the ultimate judgment: “You’re devoid of anything that’s remotely caring or empathetic.” To which David naturally responds, “That’s a great compliment.”

Bryan Cranston makes a guest appearance playing what
