New Deadpool 2 Poster Arrives as Wade Wilson Gets Banned from Disneyland

New Deadpool 2 Poster Arrives as Wade Wilson Gets Banned from Disneyland
As Ryan Reynolds is often known to do, he shared two unique Deadpool 2 images on social media today. The first is a banner for the highly-anticipated sequel, and the second is his reaction to the Disney-Fox merger. The poster is done in the style of Michelangelo's classic 16th Century painting "The Creation of Adam," which depicts God reaching out to touch the first man, Adam. Thankfully, the Merc With the Mouth wasn't entirely faithful to that painting, since he kept his maroon costume on instead of going nude, like Adam, and instead of reaching out to touch God, he's literally sticking his finger in the barrel of a gun wielded by Cable (Josh Brolin). Here's what the actor had to say about this new artwork, in his traditionally punny way.

"Some might call this creation a masterpiece, but to me it's just well hung art to be shared with the world.

Disney-Fox Merger Won’t Affect Deadpool’s R Rating, Bob Iger Clarifies

“If this is true, I wonder how the fudge it would affect Deadpool?”

That was the potentially alarming question raised by Ryan Reynolds back in November, when Disney and 21st Century Fox were still knee-deep in negotiations. Four weeks later, and now that the Disney-Fox merger has been made official, acting CEO Bob Iger has allayed fears that Deadpool is suddenly in danger of becoming a bright and breezy franchise for the entire family.

In a call to investors (via The Hollywood Reporter), Bob Iger stressed that the future of Deadpool – and its R rating, in particular – will be largely unaffected by today’s news. Not only that, but it seems the Mouse House is not opposed to releasing R-rated comic book movies, especially after the way audiences responded to Deadpool and James Mangold’s Logan.

It [Deadpool] clearly has been and will be Marvel branded. But we think there might

Gear Up For The Second Coming With New Deadpool 2 Art

It’s rather fitting that the Deadpool 2 marketing campaign is as cheeky and unpredictable as its titular lead.

From Thanksgiving treats to Bob Ross-inspired trailers (“and remember, hugs and drugs”), the Powers That Be have wholeheartedly embraced the Merc’s irreverent style, which, in turn, has allowed Ryan Reynolds to do what he does best: serve up funny and often deadpan tweets to his legions of followers. And the actor’s latest post certainly honors tradition.

Via Twitter, Ryan Reynolds has unveiled a striking piece of artwork that imagines Deadpool and Cable in the Creation of Adam, Michelangelo’s biblical painting that’s etched into the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. But this is not the Vatican City. And let’s face it: neither Wade Wilson nor Nathan Summers are terribly religious. Instead, the tongue-in-cheek promo is designed to drum up excitement for the second coming, as a fully-costumed

Deadpool 2 gets a ‘Second Coming’ poster

Ryan Reynolds has once again shared a piece or art for Deadpool 2 via his Twitter. This time, rather than focusing on Deadpool and his band of misfits, it centres on the Merc with a Mouth and Cable in a parody of ‘The Creation of Adam’. Check out the new poster artwork here…

EW Unveils Fiery First Look At Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey In X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Update: Several more photos from the film have been released by EW and can be seen in the gallery down below.

The Phoenix has awoken.

Entertainment Weekly has today unveiled a fiery first peek at Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey as she’ll appear in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, the star-studded 2018 blockbuster coming by way of Simon Kinberg (The Twilight Zone).

Held up as the “most emotional, pathos-driven” X-Men movie of Fox’s ongoing prequel saga, Dark Phoenix takes place roughly 10 years after the events of Apocalypse, at a time when our core group of mutants – namely Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), and Quicksilver (Evan Peters) – are celebrated as national heroes. But there’s trouble afoot.

Between Charles Xavier’s (James McAvoy) inflated ego – hell, he even lands on the cover of Time magazine – and the X-Jet being at the mercy of a potentially deadly solar flare,

Deadpool 2 teaser sees Wade Wilson offering free tattoos to attendees at Brazil Comic-Con

Deadpool has a message for the “beautiful sun-kissed home of Pele, hairless genitalia, and the world’s largest Jared Leto statue” in this teaser trailer for the Merc with a Mouth’s upcoming sequel, Deadpool 2.

Not only is it full of the expected comic gems, but it also offers attendees a unique chance to prove their fandom. So look him straight in the nipples, and tell him he didn’t just nail that.

New Tattoos Teaser Trailer for 'Deadpool 2' from Brazil's Comic-Con

"Do you want my body - on yours - forever? Well let's make those dreams come true." 20th Century Fox has released a new teaser trailer for Deadpool 2, this one straight from the halls of the Brazil Comic Con in Sao Paulo. The teaser basically just has Deadpool, as played by Ryan Reynolds, sitting in a chair talking about tattoos and Brazil and all kinds of funny stuff. This is the third teaser on top of the first two amusing teasers, the most recent being the wacky Bob Ross tribute (with a bit of real footage). The full cast includes Morena Baccarin, Josh Brolin, Brianna Hildebrand, T.J. Miller, Eddie Marsan, Zazie Beetz, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Julian Dennison, and Stefan Kapicic. While I am looking forward to a full trailer, these teasers are pretty brilliant and they're good enough to hold me over for now. Do you agree? Here's the

The Merc Dishes Out Free Tattoos In Bizarre Deadpool 2 Promo

Are you a vocal supporter of the Merc? And do you plan on attending Brazil’s Comic-Con this weekend? If you answered “yes” to both of those questions, you may want to inquire about getting some sweet Deadpool-related ink.

Lead star Ryan Reynolds has confirmed via Twitter that 20th Century Fox will be opening a small tattoo parlor at the event, which will offer a choice of four free tattoos inspired by the irreverent Merc With a Mouth. And similar to how Reynolds spoofed Bob Ross in the official Deadpool 2 teaser, today’s announcement video is another textbook example of his near-perfect comic timing.

Further details on the pop-up tattoo stall, along with the terms and conditions, can be found over on Fox’s site, while Ryan Reynolds’ monologue begins in typically hilarious fashion.

Ah, Brazil — the beautiful, sun-kissed home of Pele, hairless genitalia, and the world’s largest Jared Leto statue.

The Furniture: Atomic Blonde's Neon Nihilism

"The Furniture," by Daniel Walber, is our weekly series on Production Design. You can click on the images to see them in magnified detail.

The design of Atomic Blonde is, well, cool. The colors are cool and the vibe is cool, in a very straightforward way. It’s nothing like the characters, who constantly double-cross each other. The twists and turns of this last-minute Cold War spy movie keep coming until its final moments. Everyone is suspicious, even if it’s not obvious.

Yet the landscape upon which Lorraine (Charlize Theron) and Percival (James McAvoy), the Brits, Americans, French, Russians, West Germans and East Germans play is remarkably uniform. Perhaps this is because the film, directed by David Leitch (John Wick) and written by Kurt Johnstad (300) sees them all as working the same game. It’s a bit like the moral landscape of Sicario, the nihilism of film noir without any of its grand mysteries.

The Untitled Deadpool Sequel is given crazy plot synopsis

  • JoBlo
Like most people, I really enjoyed Deadpool. It was fun and irreverent at a time when superhero movies were starting to feel a little staid. It's still one of the few R-rated superhero comedies, and one of the more balls-out (unless you count Super). So anticipation for the sequel is high, especially with John Wick co-director David Leitch doing solo duties. Let's just hope that he's as good at... Read More...

Which Old School X-Men Character Is Deadpool 2 Introducing?

Which Old School X-Men Character Is Deadpool 2 Introducing?
20th Century Fox's Deadpool 2 is shaping up to be one of 2018's most-anticipated movies, with Ryan Reynolds returning as the Merc With the Mouth. One of the most intriguing new additions to the cast is Hunt For the Wilderpeople breakout star Julian Dennison. The young actor was announced through a social media photo where the actor was seen getting a piggy-back ride from the Merc With the Mouth, with both actors mocking a Star Wars: The Last Jedi photo where Daisy Ridley was getting a piggy-back ride from Mark Hamill. Julian Dennison's casting was announced back in late June, but his character was never confirmed, although a new report has seemingly revealed who he's playing.

The original Deadpool movie introduced one of the more obscure X-Men characters, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, with Brianna Hildenbrand delivering a breakthrough performance that ensured the character's return in the sequel. It seems that this

Deadpool 2 Trailer May Confirm The Appearance Of This X-Men Villain

Leave it to Ryan Reynolds and Co. to one-up just about every other cinematic marketing campaign with the brazen, tongue-in-cheek teaser for Deadpool 2.

Embedded above, we begin with a mellow painting tutorial from Bob Ross Wade Wilson, who cracks Nsfw jokes and silly innuendoes like they’re going out of fashion. But stick around until the 1:30 mark and you’ll be rewarded with the very first promo for the movie, and it’s fair to say that David Leitch and his editing team have crammed an awful lot of material into this 10-second window.

But perhaps the most interesting moment of all comes just before the montage, where a strange smudge appears on the canvas, causing the anti-hero to be thrown off guard. Admittedly, it’s hard to make out what exactly it is, but the color and shape is pretty similar to how X-Men villain Mr. Sinister appears,

New ‘Deadpool 2’ Teaser Channels Bob Ross

20th Century Fox has released the first footage from ‘Deadpool 2‘. Initially, this trailer feels like another one of the brilliant viral videos that made the marketing campaign for the first ‘Deadpool‘ so special. In this first “Wet on Wet” teaser trailer, we see Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) parodying Bob Ross‘ ‘The Joy of Painting‘ – to great comedic effect. It’s at about the 1:30 mark that the trailer shows us our first glimpses of actual footage from the sequel and I have to say that, although brief, the new footage from ‘Deadpool 2‘ looks quite amazing.

It’s interesting, because this video feels like a very unique hybrid of trailer and viral video. I honestly hope that this gets the chance to actually play in cinemas, although the likelihood of that happening is slim. It was just a few days ago that we saw the first poster for the film

Thankfully, Collider was on hand to capture a series of high-res screenshots, beginning with an up-close look at Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead kitted out in her X-Men gear. There’s also a sneak peek at Julian Dennison’s fiery mutant, Domino (Zazie Beetz) kicking down a door, and Blind Al wielding a pistol.
