Sporting Legend Shaquille O’Neal Lobbies For Avengers Role Opposite Robert Downey Jr.

Forget Thanos and the so-called Black Order; if the stars align, Iron Man’s next enemy will come in the form of Shaquille O’Neal, basketball Hall of Famer and all-around NBA legend.

Chatting to Entertainment Weekly, the sporting icon revealed his desire to star in an Avengers film, where he’d very much like to “kick Robert Downey Jr.’s ass.” His words, not ours.

Of course, long before Marvel launched its cinematic universe and Warner Bros. began composing the DC Extended Universe, Shaq starred in Steel, a 1997 superhero flick that ultimately bombed with critics. It still drew praise for its big-screen portrayal of a black superhero, though Mr. O’Neal clearly still has a taste for costumed crusaders. And Rdj, in particular.

“I would love to be in one of the Avengers movies. I would like to kick Robert Downey Jr.’s ass,” he said.

New Avengers: Infinity War Synopsis Teases McU’s Deadliest Movie

Even though we finally received the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War a couple months back, it stands to reason that each and every one of us are dying to see more teasers before the big team-up flick storms cinemas. Of course, we’re likely to see another full trailer or two before opening weekend arrives, but the interim is starting to heat up, with a Marvel Cinematic Universe recap video and international trailer already surfacing in this still young week.

But even with all that to digest, we still can’t help but wonder what’s in store for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes other than punching Thanos in the face. Well, one would assume they’re going to, but the Mad Titan is a pretty tough guy, so they may not lay too much smack down on him until the second part of the sprawling epic.

Reporters Offered Reward to Ask Trump About Black Panther's Nation of Wakanda

Journalists were offered a reward to be the first to ask President Trump the real questions, getting to the bottom of the relations between Wakanda and the United States. Wakanda is the fictional country from Marvel's Black Panther, but there appears to be a lot more than one person who believe that Trump might believe that Wakanda is a real place on that "sh!thole" of a continent Africa. Trump has recently come under fire for calling Haiti, countries in Africa, and other countries "sh!thole" countries in a closed-door meeting late last week. Many Trump detractors even wondered aloud if the president even knew that Africa is a continent.

Writer/Comedian Sara Benincasa took inspiration on Twitter after she saw that Black List creator Franklin Leonard tweeted directly to President Donald Trump to ask him about Wakandan immigration. Benincasa took that idea and ramped it up a bit,

Seasoned comic book scribe Todd McFarlane is mounting an R-rated reboot of Spawn, and the adaptation has already been described as many things by many people.

It’s “The Departed meets Paranormal Activity,” and a low-budget superhero movie – hence the involvement of Blumhouse Productions – with a 2019 release date seemingly on the cards.

Little is known about the actual story, of course, but while appearing at Arizona’s Ace Comic Con this past weekend, McFarlane confirmed his desire to make a cameo appearance in the final product – an honor he hopes to share with the great Stan Lee. Spawn Reboot Will Get a Stan Lee Cameo

Spawn Reboot Will Get a Stan Lee Cameo
Todd McFarlane has been doing a lot of talking about his upcoming Spawn reboot and now he's revealed that he has planned a cameo for Stan Lee as well as himself in the movie. However, this cameo will reportedly be different than any Stan Lee cameo we've seen on the big screen thus far. Blumhouse Productions partnered up with McFarlane last summer to get the reboot moving and since then, the writer/director has had a lot to say about what the movie will be and what it won't be. Currently, the Spawn reboot will be in the vein of a Jaws type of suspense movie.

While speaking at the Ace Comic-Con in Arizona, Todd McFarlane talked about the Spawn reboot and the inclusion of himself and Stan Lee for cameo roles. Lee was on stage with him when he made the announcement about this reboot. The two joked back

Marvel Icon Stan Lee Hit With Further Sexual Misconduct Allegations

“Oh man, not Stan Lee!?” was my morose reaction earlier this week when the Marvel comics icon and creator of innumerable superhero legends was hit with disturbing sexual misconduct claims. The 95-year-old was accused by his former carers of inappropriate sexual behaviour and assault, and they’ve now been joined by a female masseuse who was working at a Chicago hotel when she came into contact with Lee.

She alleges that she arrived to give him a massage only to find him and his manager Max Anderson intoxicated. As she tried to set up, she says he was “out of control,” groping her and asking if the two could have sex. She refused and began to carry out the massage she was hired for, only for him to begin masturbating during it.

Following the incident, she apparently made an official complaint to Stan Lee’s representatives, which have kicked off
