Disney's Nutcracker Movie Brings in Captain America Director for Reshoots

Disney's Nutcracker Movie Brings in Captain America Director for Reshoots
Disney's The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is undergoing some significant reshoots, with director Joe Johnston being brought on to take the helm of these additional scenes. While, lately, a move like this is often a sign that the original director was fired, that isn't the case here, with this new report claiming original director Lasse Hallstrom simply cannot direct the reshoots due to scheduling conflicts. Lasse Hallstrom is not being "sidelined" by this move, and he will still be involved in the post-production process.

Fans who attended Disney's D23 Expo this summer got the first glimpse at The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, with Disney showcasing the first Nutcracker and the Four Realms footage while announcing a November 2, 2018 release date. The D23 Expo presentation featured Los Angeles-based dancer Lil Buck, who hit the stage to demonstrate the kind of street dancing called jookin that informed the way his character moves in the film.

Keira Knightley Is All Tied Up and More Best Dressed Stars

Keira Knightley Is All Tied Up and More Best Dressed Stars
sdfs Everything is always better with a bow on top.  In Keira Knightley's case, she had two green, long ribbons gracing her blush, tulle Valentino dress at The London Evening Standard Theatre Awards. The color contrast was striking but still ultra feminine and romantic. The star wore her dress off the shoulders, but the bows were originally featured like cap sleeves on the runway. Perhaps the Pride and Prejudice actress was getting into the holiday spirit, opting for the pretty present look. Jennifer Lawrence was also pretty in pink at The Hollywood Reporter's 2017 Women In Entertainment Breakfast this week. Both fierce stars opted for delicate, soft looks that really accentuated their...

Star Wars is Proof that Yes, Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman Look Exactly Alike

Some folks are under the impression that Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman look exactly alike, and that Star Wars is the basis for this. Sigh, how in the world did this happen? Okay, it’s true that they bear some resemblance, a striking resemblance actually, to one another. But there are a good number of differences that can be cited and enough of a contrast between them that can be noticed. We can’t ignore one big discrepancy however, and that’s the fact that Knightley had a role in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, whereas Portman has never been seen in a

The 20 Best Plot Twists of the 21st Century, Ranked
It’s the shock of seeing Norman Bates, knife in hand, clad in his mother’s clothes, grinning maniacally in the swinging lamplight. It’s the realization that Kevin Spacey spun us a bunch of lies, and was actually Keyser Söze the whole time. It’s finally connecting “I see dead people” with Bruce Willis being shot at the beginning of “The Sixth Sense.” When movies pull the rug from under us, it’s one of the greatest thrills that cinema can provide.

As Hollywood continues to reboot countless old properties, it’s easy to think that the days of original and surprising storytelling are long behind us. But these films prove that Hollywood still has a few tricks up its sleeve, ones that have kept us talking for years, and have cemented their place in film history.

Beware of spoilers! Here are the best plot twists of the 21st

New Female Spy Films Look to Go Beyond Bond

New Female Spy Films Look to Go Beyond Bond
Will Blake Lively, Jennifer Lawrence and Keira Knightley lead a new spy movie boom? Hollywood has mined characters like James Bond, Jack Ryan and Jason Bourne for box-office gold for decades, but after Wonder Woman, studios are seeing ever greater potential in femme-focused action thrillers.

Producers are shopping star-driven spy packages with filmmaker attachments to studios. This summer, while audiences were waiting to see whether Daniel Craig would return for Bond 25 (he'll suit up for his fifth film), the company behind the series was planning its first non-Bond feature.

On Aug. 16, Eon Productions and producer Barbara Broccoli set...

5 Best And Worst Theatre Experiences!

If you usually visit the theatre, it is almost a sure bet that you have had both a positive and negative experience at one point or another. Personally, I don’t understand why anybody would pay for a cinema ticket only to talk all their way through a film, when they could have easily just gone to a bar to talk each other’s ear off for a couple of hours.

Thankfully, my cinematic adventures in the theatre have been an enjoyable ride for the most part. Whether that was due to a film being so good that it had the ability to totally immerse me in it’s world or seeing a movie with an upbeat crowd of people, well, there are numerous considerations I could have picked from. In this piece I’m going to be talking about five theatre experiences that turned out to be memorable for both worthwhile reasons,
