Bentonville Film Festival Announces 2017 Competition Winner
The third annual Bentonville Film Festival (Bff) which champions women and diverse voices in media, announced the winners of its film competition Saturday, May 6 at their awards ceremony hosted by Terry Crews, star of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Bff is the only festival to offer guaranteed distribution to the winning festival films in three categories: Best Narrative, Best Family Film and Audience Award winners.

Hosted in Bentonville, Arkansas, 2017’s festival attracted a record-breaking number of attendees committed to ensuring development and promotion of media that represents the world we live in – 51% women and highly diverse. Festival attendees interacted with filmmakers, actors and key industry leaders including Meg Ryan, William H. Mass Effect: New Fan-Film “Archangel” Is Coming Soon

Well, it doesn’t look like the highly-anticipated movie adaptation of the Mass Effect trilogy is coming to our screens any time soon. The production companies have been very quiet lately about the project, even more so about their development of Mass Effect 4. Yet for those of you who can’t wait for your next trip into the Mass Effect Universe, we may have found the next best thing - Archangel.

Preliminary predictions from the teaser trailer suggest that the film would be from the perspective of a mysterious Blue Suns Turian who was featured heavily. Yet I have it confirmed from the fan-film’s creator himself, Acavyos, that the film will indeed be focused on Garrus Vakarian and what’s more, there is even the possibility that Brandon Keener himself (the original voice actor for Garrus) may be getting involved, but this remains unconfirmed. Popcorn went to the robots again. Transformers: Dark of the Moon was Number One at the box office for the second weekend in a row with $47 Million for $261 Million so far. Horrible Bosses premiered in Second Place with $28.1 Million. Zookeeper premiered in Third Place with $21 Million. Cars 2 was Fourth with $15 Million for $148.8 Million so far.
