The Assignment Trailer: Michelle Rodriguez Used to Be One Killer Dude
Saban Films and Lionsgate have released the first trailer for The Assignment, which puts a unique twist on the assassin thriller genre. Sigourney Weaver and Michelle Rodriguez lead a diverse and impressive cast in this thriller, which also includes Tony Shalhoub, Anthony Lapaglia and Caitlin Gerard. If that wasn't enough, we also have the first poster for The Assignment, which you can check out below the trailer.

Legendary director Walter Hill (The Warriors) gives the revenge film a modern neo-noir twist with this electrifying thriller. Hitman Frank Kitchen (Michelle Rodriguez) is given a lethal assignment, but after being double-crossed, he discovers he's not the man he thought he was, he's been surgically altered and now has the body of a woman. Seeking vengeance, Frank heads for a showdown with the person (Sigourney Weaver) who transformed him, a brilliant surgeon with a chilling agenda of her own. The hitman, now a hitwoman,

Toronto Film Review: ‘(Re)Assignment’

Toronto Film Review: ‘(Re)Assignment’
With trans issues recently having entered mainstream discourse, certainly not every fictive treatment need be as nuanced as Oscar-nominated “Transamerica” or Emmy-winning “Transparent.” Still, nobody — not even viewers willing to settle for good, unclean B-movie fun — is done any favors by something as crude as “(re)Assignment,” which gracelessly mashes together hardboiled crime-melodrama cliches and an unintentionally funny “Oh no! I’m a chick now!!” gender-change narrative hook.

Not a return to peak form for veteran Hollywood helmer Walter Hill, this cheesy Canadian indie contraption was picked up at the Cannes market for a Tba U.S. theatrical release. But it will be pressing its luck in formats beyond streaming and cable, despite the marquee names of Michelle Rodriguez and Sigourney Weaver, neither of whom are well-served here.

Framing device is Weaver’s disgraced plastic surgeon Dr. Rachel Jane being interviewed over several days’ course by psychiatrist Dr. Galen (Tony Shalhoub

Despite the fact that the hunting life is the only one Sam and Dean have ever known—and, if Zachariah’s assertion in Season 4’s “It’s a Terrible Life” is to be believed, the only kind of life Dean enjoys living—both brothers would agree that hunting is not the kind of thing anyone should have to do for their life. They have, on numerous occasions, beginning from Jo Harvelle, done their best to dissuade others from becoming hunters themselves. One thing Sam and Dean have yet to encounter, however, is a relapsed hunter; someone who managed to get out while still relatively intact physically and mentally, yet who re-entered the hunting life. It is one such blast

Video Game BAFTA Nominees Announced, Journey Leads the Pack

It was only Sunday night that I was out standing in the snow and rain at BAFTAs. Just when I thought I had gotten over the show, the video game BAFTAs have crept up on me and released their nominations on me.

Across 17 catagories, Journey has been nominated for 8. As with all the awards this year, The Walking Dead is right on its heels as it looks like the two games are set to slug it out one last time on March 5th.

In one of the most interesting nominations of the year, Far Cry 3 has been nominated for Best Story. This is going to get some stick from some, but not from me. I have been championing that games story and intent since I completed the game. Clearly a few of us Brits had our thinking caps on as we played through the game.

But perhaps, most surprisingly is

Donovan’S Echo (2011) Movie Trailer: Jim Cliffe, Danny Glover

  • Film-Book
Donovan’s Echo Trailer. Jim Cliffe‘s Donovan’s Echo (2011) movie stars Danny Glover, Bruce Greenwood, Chelah Horsdal, Sonja Bennett, and Natasha Calis. Donovan’s Echo‘s plot synopsis: “Once a brilliant mathematician, Donovan Matheson (Danny Glover) has been an outcast since an accident that killed his wife and daughter three decades ago for which he blames himself. He finally returns home as the tragic event’s 30th anniversary approaches and begins discovering similarities to what had happened to him in the past. Convinced history is repeating itself, Donovan risks everything to save an unsuspecting family from the same tragic fate.”

Great premise but the execution may be a little dubious. It’s strength is the storyline and that it may remind the viewer of Rubicon and Proof because Danny Glover’s character is a mathematician and there is a visible mystery.

Donovan’s Echo also stars David Lewis, Hiro Kanagawa,
