Frozen Metallica Mashup Has Kristen Bell and Dave Grohl Rocking Out
Foo Fighter's front man Dave Grohl took over hosting duties for Jimmy Kimmel Live on Halloween night dressed as David Letterman. But Grohl couldn't just host. Instead, he enthusiastically backed up Kristen Bell on a thrash metal version of Frozen song "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" mashed up with Metallica hit "Enter Sandman." While Grohl was dressed as David Letterman, full beard and all, he did his best to imitate Metallica's Lars Ulrich behind the kit while Bell channeled her inner James Hetfield on the mic.

While Dave Grohl's Halloween costume was tough to beat, Kristen Bell came out as Magnum P.I. (Tom Selleck}, complete with mustache, wig, Hawaiian shirt, and some sweet chest hair. During the main segment interview, Grohl expressed how happy his kids were that he got to hang out and interview Kristen Bell, aka Elsa from Frozen. Bell was on the show

Billy Eichner and Metallica Play ‘Metal Have I Ever,’ John Legend and Alicia Keys Freestyle Jingles on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

Billy Eichner and Metallica Play ‘Metal Have I Ever,’ John Legend and Alicia Keys Freestyle Jingles on ‘Carpool Karaoke’
Carpool Karaoke” seems to be holding up, even without James Corden in the front seat.

Apple Music released new clips teasing the second and third episodes of the “Late Late Show” spinoff-turned-standalone series, featuring Billy Eichner with Metallica, and Alicia Keys with John Legend.

In the first bit, Eichner gets to know Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo of Metallica through a game reminiscent of one that could be on Eichner’s “Billy on the Street.” Eichner spearheaded “Metal Have I Ever,” a fresh take on the classic “Never Have I Ever.” In this adaptation, instead of holding up five fingers, they just had to hold up metal fingers.

Eichner’s first question, asking if the guys had “listened to Paula Cole to unwind,” was followed by some perplexed silence before the pop culture expert had to sing a few bars of the “Dawson’s Creek” theme song. While

Michael Alago, Who Signed Metallica and White Zombie, Gets the Documentary Treatment in ‘Who the F**k Is That Guy?’

Michael Alago, Who Signed Metallica and White Zombie, Gets the Documentary Treatment in ‘Who the F**k Is That Guy?’
If the histories of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre warrant four hours of prime HBO real estate in “The Defiant Ones,” then certainly Michael Alago, the flamboyant New York punk habitue who signed Metallica to Elektra and White Zombie to Geffen during his stints as an A&R executive, deserves his 77 minutes of recognition.

In the spirit of similar documentaries on behind-the-scenes heroes such as Rodney Bingenheimer (“The Mayor of Sunset Strip”) and Danny Fields (“Danny Says”), “Who the F**k Is That Guy?” recounts the remarkable journey of Alago, a Puerto Rican kid who grew up on Brooklyn’s New Utrecht Avenue with his bedroom facing an elevated subway track. That undoubtedly influenced his passion for post-punk hardcore rock. “I love the noise,” he says at one point in the movie. “I love the sweat. I love when I go to concerts and it’s 99% guys.”

The documentary was directed by punk-rock veteran Drew Stone, who

Gene Simmons Tries to Trademark Devil's Horns Hand Gesture
Kiss' Gene Simmons is attempting to copyright the devil's horns rock salute. Yes, really. The guy who has made a Kiss coffin for you to be buried in is now claiming to have invented the hard rockin' hand-gesture that is also really close to American Sign Language's I love you and frighteningly similar to the way Spider-Man shoots his webs. Simmons has done a lot of things in his long, long career, some of things are good and some are bad. We'll let you decide where to put this one.

The Hollywood Reporter has brought Simmons' latest attempt to remain relevant in any way he can to our attention. Simmons apparently filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office late last week and is awaiting a response. Simmons is claiming that "his hand gesture" was first used at a Kiss concert on November 14th, 1974 which would

Metallica Performs a Tough “Now That We’re Dead” on The Late Show

I had the pleasure of seeing Metallica perform live at Lollapalooza way back in the 90s. To tell you the truth, I liked Metallica at the time but I didn’t necessarily love them. After seeing their performance I loved them. They were just so powerful. It’s hard to describe the kind of energy these guys can drum up in one area but it’s pretty intense. I mean every single time you’d see Hetfield scream or give any kind of “grunt” the crowd went bananas. It was one of the most memorable live performances I had ever seen. I can only

[[tmz:video id="0_tgl0dilu"]] Metallica frontman James Hetfield is a huge Raiders fan -- and says he's "a little pissed" that his team is ditching Oakland for Sin City. Fyi, Hetfield actively campaigned for the Raiders to stay in the Bay Area -- and publicly supported Ronnie Lott in his efforts to build a new stadium for the team in Oakland.   But those plans didn't work out and Raiders owner, Mark Davis, ultimately got league approval to move the team to Las Vegas.

Something tells us Metallica's bad side isn't somewhere you want to be.

GRAMMYs producer Ken Erlich has issued an apology to the band for the technical difficulties that persisted during their performance with Lady Gaga at the awards show on Sunday, forcing lead singer James Hetfield to share Gaga's mic. "These kinds of things are horrible when they happen," Ehrlich said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday. "That's one of the risks of live television."

While Hetfield has stayed mum on the mishap, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich revealed during a Tuesday appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden that Hetfield was "livid." To add insult to injury, the band's name was also left out of their introduction. Presenter Laverne Cox only mentioned Lady Gaga while introducing the performance.
