“Fear Spins Its Web” in Creepy Key Art for New Spider-Centric Thriller Itsy Bitsy

He created some of the most iconic horror genre images from the 1980s with his work on the Nightmare on Elm Street posters, and now artist Matthew Peak has channeled his creativity into the key art for a new thriller, Itsy Bitsy.

Directed by Micah Gallo, executive produced by Cory Neal, and co-written by Daily Dead contributor Jason Alvino, Itsy Bitsy has surpassed its $40,000 goal, but you still have until October 11th if you want to add your name to the list of supporters behind the Kickstarter for the character-centric creature feature. 4.8 A Thing With Feathers

As usual, Falling Skies takes the easier, happier way out. After the downturn in mood of last week's episode, in which the Espheni scored a victory over the Second Mass thanks to some poor civic planning and an exposed, exploding gas line, Falling Skies reverts to the mean this week by using the miraculous alien technology at their disposal to correct a pesky, depressing turn away from the happy and soap opera that the show typically trades in. Unsurprisingly, the episode is titled A Thing With Feathers, which is a line cribbed from the Emily Dickinson poem.

Britain's black actors must be given a better choice of roles, says star of Spielberg series

Treva Etienne of Falling Skies fame, the latest black Briton to find success in America, fears a generation of domestic talent is being wasted

A London actor who has won a lead role in Steven Spielberg's television sci-fi series Falling Skies has joined calls to increase opportunities for aspiring black and mixed-race British actors.

A future generation of screen and stage talent is being wasted, says Treva Etienne, who is the latest in a line of black British actors to thrive in America following Idris Elba in The Wire, David Oyelowo in The Butler, Marianne Jean-Baptiste in Without a Trace, David Harewood in Homeland, and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the film 12 Years a Slave. Speaking to the Observer this weekend from Hollywood, Etienne called for a better balance of parts for black newcomers at home.
