Laurence Fishburne on swapping the Dceu for the McU with Ant-Man and the Wasp

Having portrayed Daily Planet editor Perry White in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Laurence Fishburne is swapping the DC Extended Universe for the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year as he takes on the role of Bill Foster, a.k.a. Goliath, in Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Speaking to Yahoo!, Fishburne has expressed his excitement about joining the McU, as well as discussing his love of comic books:

“I’ve been watching Marvel movies for a long time and I’ve imagined and dreamt and fantasized that one day I’d be lucky enough to be in the Marvel Universe and that day has come… I was mostly a Marvel guy, but I also loved the DC comics. I loved the DC universe. I bought comics from both universes. And then subsequently bought comics from other labels — Vertigo and Dark Horse.”

3.7 Fredrick & Tanya

“They’re actually going to get away with this,” Dom whispers to herself at the end of Fredrick & Tanya.

She’s right. The Dark Army is going to get away with it. Whiterose has achieved her precious annexation of the Congo. 71 E Corp buildings have been destroyed, along with at least 4,000 people dead. Elliot and Mr Robot are defeated, their people’s revolution is torn to ribbons, each one of those ribbons picked up to be co-opted by yet another 1% puppet master. Trenton and Mobely are dead, framed for the E Corp building attacks. Angela is a time-travelling vegetable. It’s all over.

There is no guarantee that Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman will make it to the big screen

It is not a sure thing whether Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman will have a theatrical release.

Shooting is already underway for the much anticipated Netflix picture which will see a rare on screen collaboration between two acting legends, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.

However, there is no guarantee that this big budget mobster flick will make it to theatres, even though Scorsese all but demanded that Netflix give the film a traditional release in 2019.

And Variety reports that Scott Stuber, Netflix’s film division chief, has assured the director that the movie would receive a minimum two week theatrical window – which would allow The Irishman to qualify for Oscar consideration.

However, the head of publicity over at Netflix, Julie Fontaine, has told Variety that “it’s premature to say anything at this point” in regards to the streaming giant’s distribution plans for The Irishman.

This would be rather upsetting news for Scorsese,

Laurence Fishburne is working on a top secret Marvel project

During the San Diego Comic-Con back in July we learned that Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Laurence Fishburne is heading to the Marvel Cinematic Universe next year with his role as Bill Foster – a.k.a. Goliath – in the sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp.

However, it seems that isn’t the only project Fishburne is working on with Marvel, as the actor revealed in a recent interview with Collider:

“I’m developing something else for Marvel that I can’t talk about. It’s gonna be really cool. It’s gonna change the world, we hope (laughs). I went to Marvel and pitched them something that really couldn’t work out—there was a lot of legal red tape that just [was] something they couldn’t work out. Margot Robbie Is Uncensored as Tonya Harding in ‘I, Tonya’ First Full Trailer
The new trailer for Margot Robbie’s “I, Tonya” offers a look at the complicated dynamics of disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding and her mother, played by Allison Janney.

Robbie flashes a dazzling smile amid an impressive routine in the new footage, released by Neon on Wednesday.

“I was the best figure skater in the world at one point in time,” she says in a voiceover in the trailer, set to Chicago’s 1969 hit “25 or 6 to 4.” “My entire life, I’ve been told I wouldn’t amount to anything.”

Janney portrays Lavona Harding as a bitter chainsmoker who won’t stop berating her daughter on multiple occasions. “I made you a champion, knowing you’d hate me for it,” she admits.

As Harding, Robbie also asserts that the American people want someone to love and someone to hate. “The haters always say ‘Tonya, tell the truth.’ There’s no such thing as truth,” the voiceover
