Brooklyn Nine-Nine Will Get A Season 5

Even though the funny cop genre has been done time and time again, the officers of the Nine-Nine keep finding ways to make it original. A great cast led by former Saturday Night Live star Andy Samberg, Brooklyn Nine-Nine brings Samberg’s goofy brand of awkward comedy to the NYPD.

The popular Fox comedy has been renewed for a fifth season reports, Coming Soon. The show, which is set at a precinct in Brooklyn, New York, deals with the daily procedures of what looks to be the most fun a person could have inside a police station.

Officially led by the strict and very dry Captain Raymond Holt, and unofficially misled by the childish, Die Hard-loving detective, Jake Peralta, the other officers in the Nine-Nine precinct somehow manage to get work done while putting up with Peralta’s antics.

Detective Charles Boyle, played by Joe Lo Truglio, looks for Jake’s approval at every turn,

Brooklyn Nine-Nine: a must-see Us sitcom

Catherine Pearson Jan 19, 2017

From the people behind Parks And Recreation, here's why Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the sharpest comedies around...

With Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s much anticipated fourth season finally airing on E4, spare a thought for those who have never experienced the joys of this quick-witted, warm hearted cop comedy series. It’s hard to imagine a world without the Die Hard-loving, authority challenging Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) or his food-loving best friend Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio). Where would we be without the egotistical wisdoms of Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti), the relentless brown nosing and binder collating of Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) and the weapon-wielding human enigma that is Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz)?

Watch Andy Samberg’s Awful Andre Braugher, Dennis Haysbert Impressions (Exclusive Video)
Don’t fret, Captain Holt — your best and worst detectives are on the case to solve your kidnapping. In a season finale clip exclusive to TheWrap, one of his better underlings, Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), is basically just trying to retrace his boss’s steps through a slew of bad Andre Braugher and guest star Dennis Haysbert impressions. Assisted by arguably the worst of the bunch, with an obvious nod of (dis)respect to Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller), Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker) utilizes his taste for chocolate to work the clues Holt left behind. It’s pretty gross. Watch the clip above.

Jake Peralta’s (Andy Samberg) best-laid plans Tuesday during the “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” cold open, a clip exclusive to TheWrap. The doofus duo tease their boss about a little three-pound weight gain, and it couldn’t have happened at a worse time. After all, back from a week with husband Kevin in France, Holt (Andre Braugher) hit a “vacation high,” and was primed to be agreeable to any and all outlandish requests. Here is what his team came up with: Gina (Chelsea.

Review: The dumbest 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' cops get some run in 'House Mouses'
A review of tonight's Brooklyn Nine-Nine coming up just as soon as I give you a signed copy of my book of mouth exercises... My father's cousin was an actor named Danny Wells. He never hit it big — these days, if people would know him at all, it would be for playing Luigi to Captain Lou Albano's Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! — but he worked steadily in TV throughout the '70s and '80s, to the point where it became almost routine when I would tell my parents that Cousin Danny had popped up in another episode of The A-Team or CHiPs. He also had a recurring role on The Jeffersons as Charlie, the bartender on the first floor of George and Weezie's apartment building (here he is giving George some advice), and towards the end of the series, there were even a couple of Charlie-centric episodes.
