Fabrice du Welz to Direct ‘Adoration’ With ‘Happy End’ Breakout Star (Exclusive)
Acclaimed Belgian director Fabrice du Welz is set to direct “Adoration,” the third part of a trilogy that includes “The Ordeal,” which played at Cannes’ Critics’ Week, and “Alleluia,” which played at Directors’ Fortnight.

“Adoration” is being produced by Vincent Tavier at Brussels-based Panique! and Manuel Chiche at Paris-based The Jokers. Memento Films International has acquired international sales to the film. The Jokers will handle distribution in France.

Like “The Ordeal” and “Alleluia,” “Adoration” will explore the boundaries of a maddening, destructive love, this time between two children. It follows 12-year-old Paul, who falls in love with Gloria, a schizophrenic teenager in the mental institution where his mother works. Paul decides to help Gloria escape after she commits a crime, and together they embark on a trip that reveals the extent of Gloria’s dangerous madness and Paul’s devotion to her.

Tavier, who wrote the script with du Welz, said “Adoration

Fashion Flashback: Salma Hayek Dissects Her Favorite Oscar Red Carpet Looks
When Salma Hayek came to the States, she faced a lot of rejection. “I was rejected over and over, and everybody told me, ‘You will never make it in this town. You’re Mexican, you have an accent,’” she says. Nevertheless, she persisted, and with 2002’s “Frida,” Hayek became the first and only Mexican woman to be nominated in the lead actress category — and the iconic painter remains her biggest artistic inspiration. “I learned that this woman woke up every morning with pain,” says Hayek, who shows an empathetic side in “Beatriz at Dinner.” “[Frida Kahlo] had so many things going against her, and yet she found a will to say, ‘I am my best work of art.’”

1997

Hayek’s first time presenting at the Oscars was a milestone. “Not everybody wanted to give a dress to the new Mexican girl, and I couldn’t afford one, so I was very lucky that Giorgio Armani offered,” says [link=nm

Agatha Christie has long been considered a master of the mystery novel, and her work is no stranger to the big screen. However, there’s never been a Christie adaptation quite like Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express.

It’s finally in theatres now, and we definitely recommend it for anyone who loves a good mystery, any of the talented actors involved, or outrageous facial hair. Branagh himself plays the genius detective Hercule Poirot, who boards a luxury train filled with fabulous people. One of these people is killed, and suddenly everyone becomes a suspect.

If, like us, you haven’t read Agatha Christie’s source novel, then you’re in for a wild ride. The film is filled with more twists and turns than you can imagine,

Kenneth Branagh reveals the Agatha Christie novel he’d like to adapt next after Murder on the Orient Express

Now that Murder on the Orient Express has officially released in theaters, director, and star Kenneth Branagh is looking towards the future. At a recent press junket for the film (via CinemaBlend), Branagh talked a bit about the next Agatha Christie novel that he would like to see adapted to the big screen: Death on the Nile.

“It’s a great book, you know. Michael — Michael Green, our screenwriter — wanted to feel this Poirot who never gets a holiday. You could call it, instead of Murder on the Orient Express, you could say Hercule Poirot Tries To Take A Holiday. First in Istanbul, then on the Orient Express, then at the end he gets sent to Egypt. Death on the Nile — if we did one, we’d love to. The public will decide; they come to see this in sufficient numbers we’ll be there… I’d love to play

Our Favorite Faces Of Michelle Pfeiffer

This weekend, Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express arrived on schedule in North America, and was welcomed by audiences despite lukewarm reviews. In part this will have been because the train was a star-studded vehicle indeed, with a cast inluding Branagh himself, Johnny Depp, Dame Judi Dench, Willem Dafoe, Daisy Ridley, Penelope Cruz and... While my friend and I both got over that, seeing Michelle Pfeiffer on the big screen still tickles my brain into remembering those times... She has been gracing screens for...

Not too bad at all.

Ragnarok’s main competition this weekend were the releases of ‘Daddy’s Home 2‘ and ‘Murder on the Orient Express‘. It was widely expected Thor: Ragnarok would once again top the box office, but second place was the spot up for grabs.

In a tight race for second, The Will Ferrell/Mark Wahlberg comedy ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ was able to top ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ earning an estimated $30 million. 2015’s ‘Daddy’s Home ‘was a box office smash, opening with $38 million and finishing with a worldwide total $242 million.

Murder on the Orient Express’ finished closely behind with an estimated $28 million.
