Both Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio are doing a little moonlighting in their rare time off from filming Nashville. Bowen, who plays struggling songwriter Scarlett O'Connor on the ABC musical drama, and Palladio, who plays rags-to-riches songwriter Gunnar Scott, are each prepping solo albums (as themselves) for 2015.

"We've recorded a couple things and I've been writing and writing and writing," Bowen tells Rolling Stone Country. "I've met some wonderful people who are generous with their time and creativity. That's the way Nashville is as a city."

Deana Carter, the country singer known for her hits "Strawberry Wine" and "How Do I Get There," is splitting from her husband.

Carter filed for legal separation from her husband of three years, Brandon Malone, in Los Angeles earlier this week, TMZ reports. In court papers, however, she says they've been living apart for more than a year.

Carter cites the standard "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the separation. She's seeking spousal support and attorney fees.

Carter broke out in the mid-'90s with her album "Did I Shave My Legs for This?" She also co-wrote "You and Tequila," which was a hit for Kenny Chesney and a nominee for song of the year at the 2011 Cma Awards.
