Wonder Woman Photos Released; DC Isn't Planning Sequel
This summer, the ever expansive Dceu will debut the first ever live-action movie featuring the iconic Wonder Woman, after the character's rich 75-year comic book history. To get fans ready for this superhero adventure, Warner Bros. released new photos from Wonder Woman, while DC Films president revealed during Warner Bros.' WonderCon panel that there are no concrete plans for a Wonder Woman sequel. When asked during the panel about the possibility of the sequel, Geoff Johns would only state, "I can't confirm that." Of course, if Wonder Woman performs well, there may be conversations about a sequel, but it may be too early for those conversations at this time.

Much like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad before it, rumors have recently surfaced that Wonder Woman is a "mess," with an insider reportedly claiming that the movie was "very disjointed" after catching an early screening. However,

Gal Gadot Knows How to Get Boys Excited for Wonder Woman
With just over two months left until Wonder Woman hits theaters, many are wondering whether it will be able to give the Dceu the jolt it needs, after Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad were trashed by critics and fans alike. Gal Gadot's performance in Batman v Superman was one of the few high points for most critics, and there have been reports that Warner Bros. is much more confident in their Dceu lineup after watching early screenings of the Wonder Woman standalone movie. How the audience itself responds is certainly another question altogether, but Gal Galdot revealed during an on-set interview that she believes both boys and girls can relate to Wonder Woman.

Fans have certainly been responding to the footage released thus far, with the studio debuting the final Wonder Woman trailer earlier this month. While we'll have to wait until early June to

Warner Bros. continues its Dceu franchise run with the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman, which has Gal Gadot reprising her role as the title character from last year's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. With just a few months left until this superhero adventure hits theaters, new details have surfaced from producer Charles Roven, who reveals that this movie won't be a "formulaic origin" like other superhero movies.

"We're hoping honestly that you won't say that when you see any of these movies. Get powers, fight bad guys. And one of the reasons honestly that I think that all of these characters have been around for so long is that they touch people both being inspirational and aspirational in more ways than just that."

While speaking to ComicBook.com, producer Charles Roven explained that the story is "fun, emotional, exciting," while adding that it's relatable to kids and adults of all ages in a contemporary way.

Wonder Woman Movie Will Be Missing This One Iconic Thing

  • MovieWeb
Wonder Woman Movie Will Be Missing This One Iconic Thing
DC Films has taken an interesting stance when it comes to bringing their comic books to life on the big screen. Killer Croc be damned, Warner Bros. wants these movies to be as realistic as possible. Which means ditching some of the more fantastical aspects of each character. And when it comes to Wonder Woman, she will be absent one of her coolest gadgets of all time. Though, we're not sure how fans will respond.

The invisible jet has always been considered a little goofy. Though it's none the less beloved by Wonder Woman's legion of fans. And many have wondered how director Patty Jenkins will pull it off. Quick answer is, she won't. When Diana Prince arrives in her own solo movie next year, it will be sans this iconic vehicle. Speaking with People, DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson had this to say about getting rid of Wonder Woman's ride, explaining that it all has to do with the more serious tone of the movie.

"[Wonder Woman] will have its own tone and look - it's beautiful. There is humor in it, there is real emotion in Diana's journey in discovering the complexity of man. There is no invisible jet. Not in this iteration."

The invisible jet has been a staple of the DC Comics for a very long time. And dates back to the earliest issues from William Moulton Marston. But if you are heading to Comic-Con 2016 in San Diego this year, you could easily imagine it there, resting alongside the other props that DC and Warner Bros. will have on display. After all, it is invisible. All kidding aside, costumes and other artifacts used in filming will be available for fans to see in person. There is also a special panel planned for the character's 75th Anniversary, where we'll likely get the first real footage from the movie.

No official plot synopsis has been released for Wonder Woman yet. The movie is said to span three different time periods, with a great deal of the movie taking place during World War I. Gal Gadot returns to reprise her role as Diana Prince after first being introduced in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year. It isn't known if any other characters from that movie will be stopping in to make a cameo, but it's believed that Batman will arrive in the third act to welcome her to Justice League, the next DC Comics movie to follow later next year.

Shooting wrapped on Wonder Woman earlier this year, with Gal Gadot transitioned straight into Justice League, where she will be joined by Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, and Jason Momoa. Batman V Superman director Zack Snyder returns to helm this epic ensemble. Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Sa&#239d Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, Connie Nielsen and Lucy Davis.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman is being produced by Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder, with Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns and Rebecca Roven serving as executive producers. Wonder Woman is set to open in theaters on June 2, 2017. While we may hear more about Wonder Woman in the next few weeks, we shouldn't expect to see anything major until this July when Comic-Con kicks off.
