New trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s Mosaic

HBO has released a new trailer for Mosaic, a unique storytelling experience from Steven Soderbergh, which is available now via the free app ahead of a traditional six-hour miniseries airing on the cable network in the New Year. Take a look at the trailer here…

Three years in the making, the Mosaic app allows viewers to choose what point-of-view from which to follow the story and to, in effect, build their own experience from the material Soderbergh and Solomon created. The choices one makes build upon one another, enabling multiple tellings of the story from different perspectives and, sometimes, with different conclusions. Viewers will be able to see how their own versions of the story on the app ultimately compare to Soderbergh’s six-part linear narrative in January.

Mosaic is available via a free app now, with a traditional six-hour episodic version slated to air on HBO in January 2018 and

But ever since the host tweeted that he’d be getting a makeover from Dapper Dan,

10 Scariest Moments in Non-Horror Movies

  • Cinelinx
Horror movies aren’t the only films that can cause you to have nightmares. Here’s a look at some of the most frightening moments from movies that aren’t horror films.

Terror and fear are common traits in all movies, not just horror films. Frightening moments happen in everything from children’s films to blockbuster action flicks. The reason is that fear is an effective tool for filmmakers. First, it is easy to create. Dark picture quality, demonic makeup or special effects, even a simple jump scare can do the trick. As compared to genuine emotional connection to characters or a film’s themes, creating scares doesn’t tax the script too heavily. Furthermore, fear is a very effective way to connect with the audience. If they are scared, there is a vulnerability that the filmmakers can take advantage of to create a more emotional viewing experience.

Pee Wee’s Jurassic Adventure is Pure Genius

Just when you thought all the buzz over making fun of Pee Wee Herman was over. It was at one point, wasn’t it? The Jurassic Adventure with Pee Wee as the deadly, um, well…. It’s kind of hard to put Pee Wee and deadly in the same sentence without laughing. The idea is funny as heck but the mere fact that Pee Wee Herman was anything but a goofball is still something that’s hard to write. After all the guy played a fairly nutty individual that was more wrapped up in his bike than anything. It’s been 32 years since

Flight of the Navigator Remake Is Back on Track with Lucifer Showrunner
The Flight of the Navigator remake has been in various stages of development over the years, but now it seems like the project is about to hit lift off. The Hollywood Reporter announced that The Henson Company is producing the new reboot for Lionsgate and they have tapped Joe Henderson, the showrunner for Fox's Lucifer, to write the script. Disney tried to reboot Flight of the Navigator back in 2009 and then another time in 2012 with Colin Trevorrow attached to write and direct. Both projects never materialized for one reason or another, but now, 5 years later, the remake seems ready for flight.

The movie told of a 12-year-old Florida boy who is abducted by a UFO and reappears eight years later, at the exact same age and with no memories of what happened. When Nasa officials spot a connection between the boy and a recovered UFO and try to ensnare him,

Al Yankovic can be described in a lot of ways besides "Weird." Most people know that he's a chart-topping singer-songwriter, a director-producer, a top-notch parodist, an author and a die-hard polka enthusiast. Even those who have followed his career closely, however, may have forgotten he was, for a brief moment, the host of a short-lived children's television show.

The Weird Al Show debuted on CBS on September 13, 1997 as part of their Saturday morning lineup. Each episode began with the all important "today's lesson" before viewers were invited into Yankovic's underground
