After more than 20 years, Tales From the Hood 2 is finally happening. The horror anthology genre has come and gone over the years, but it's delivered its fair share of cult classics in the decades that the sub-genre has been around. One such cult classic is 1995's Tales From the Hood. Now, director Rusty Cundieff has revealed that a sequel is in the works. Though, he may have jumped the gun a bit.

The director took to Twitter recently to make the reveal that Tales From the Hood 2 is currently in development. In a tweet, that has since been deleted, indicating that he spilled the beans on the sequel a bit too early, the director revealed an image from his location scouting with the caption, "In New Orleans location scouting for Tales From The Hood 2 This is part of Anne Rice's old Home and where she held her LeStat parties.

10 Directors to Watch: Carlos López Estrada Opens Eyes With Sundance-Bound ‘Blindspotting’

10 Directors to Watch: Carlos López Estrada Opens Eyes With Sundance-Bound ‘Blindspotting’
Born in Mexico City to a family committed to the arts (his grandmother was a stage actress married to a reporter on the culture beat, while his parents both worked for a local TV station), López Estrada moved to the States at age 12, and later enrolled in film school at Chapman U. in Orange County.

“That is how I met Daveed,” says the director, referring to Daveed Diggs, the co-writer and star of his debut feature, the Sundance-bound, music-backed indie drama “Blindspotting.” “Daveed is part of a rap group called Clipping, and I made a video for them five years ago in L.A., back when they had no money,” López Estrada says. “One of his bandmates had scored a short film for me at Chapman, and he put us in touch. That was the start of a really fruitful collaborative friendship.”

Over the next half-decade, the director and Diggs became part of a small circle of L.A

10 Directors to Watch: Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah Bring Street Cred to Belgian Cinema

10 Directors to Watch: Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah Bring Street Cred to Belgian Cinema
El Arbi and Fallah were the only two Moroccan-born students in their Belgian film school. While their white peers aspired to fine art, they dreamed of Hollywood.

Inspired by gritty crime dramas with a fondness for spectacle, the pair took to the streets with cameras. They made a feature, a short, some TV and in 2015, they won the Toronto film festival’s Discovery Award for their second feature, “Black,” a streetwise spin on Romeo and Juliet, set in Brussels.

Their latest, “Gangsta” (Aka “Patser,” which is Flemish for “show-off”), is in post-production. A humorous drug-deal-gone-bad caper in the Guy Ritchie vein, it plays like “Amélie” on crack.

“We got a lot of help from the city of Antwerp on this one,” El Arbi says. “We’re lucky they don’t read the scripts, because the city gets trashed. People don’t realize that Antwerp is worse than what we depict.”

They fuse amped-up visuals with authentic,
