We've now learned that John Wick: Chapter 2 director Chad Stahelski will return for this next chapter of the franchise and that he will start shooting it on March 1st in New York City with additional filming possibly taking place in Spain and Russia.
As far as the rest of the cast goes, it's being reported that Common will return as Cassian, Laurence Fishburne will be back as the Bowery King, and Ruby Rose set to return as Ares. you can bet your ass that Ian McShane will return as well.

According to the site, John Wick 3 will see the return of Cassian (Common), the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) and Ares (Ruby Rose), while Hiroyuki Sanada (47 Ronin, The Wolverine) will portray the new villain, said to be the head of a Japanese crime syndicate. Stahelski is also said to be casting a new female role, searching for an actress in her late 20s to early 40s.
With production kicking off in a few short weeks, expect some official confirmation and further casting news on John Wick 3 very soon.

It is said the studio is also still looking for an actress to star opposite Reeves that is between her late 20’s and early 40’s and are open to diverse casting.

Lychnikoff and Ana Ularu, this follows Lucas (Reeves), an American diamond merchant, who travels to Russia to sell rare blue diamonds of questionable origin. As the deal begins to collapse, he falls into an obsessive relationship with Katya (Ularu), a Russian cafe owner, in a small Siberian town. Ross reteams with cinematographer Eric Koretz and composers Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans.

Yep, we're all set to check into The Continental on Starz (UK broadcaster Tbc, but we'd confidently bet a quid or two that it'll be Amazon Prime), and now we have a few very intriguing extra tidbits via Slashfilm, who scored a post-announcement interview with the network's President of Original Programming,
Starz President & CEO Chris Albrecht announced at the Television Critics Association today that it has picked up the series, developing it with Lionsgate. The Continental will focus on the exclusive Continental Hotel seen in the films that serves as a neutral refuge for the world’s assassins and high class criminals. Rather than being set in New York City, the series will instead take place in Los Angeles.
