Through Archie Bunker, we understood and sometimes saw him in ourselves or in male relatives around us. Still Carroll O'Connor's performance as Archie Bunker wasn't always a hater. Archie was capable of change even if slowly. When I watched Edith's Crisis Faith two part episode (Christmas), I was reminded of how television can affect us.
