Please Audition These Women for Wonder Woman!by reijynyui | created - 28 Aug 2012 | updated - 28 Aug 2012 | Public
There is supposed to be a Justice League feature film as early as 2015, but DC/ WB is having a hard time putting the talent together for it. I would like to nominate the following women for the role of Wonder Woman, in both Justice League and her own full-length feature.
Actress | The Hunger Games
The highest-paid actress in the world, with her films grossing over $5.5 billion worldwide, Jennifer Lawrence is often cited as the most successful actor of her generation. She is thus far the only person born in the 1990s to have won an acting Oscar.
Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born August 15, ...
I'm kind of in love with young miss Lawrence. As Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games or young Mystique/ Raven in X-Men: First Class, I just can't get enough of her being sexy, strong, brave and beautiful. Too bad for me, she'll be tied down playing the two lead roles I mentioned for the foreseeable future.
Actress | Deadpool
Morena Baccarin was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to actress Vera Setta and journalist Fernando Baccarin. Her uncle was actor Ivan Setta. Morena has Italian and Brazilian Portuguese ancestry. She moved to New York at the age of 10, when her father was transferred there. She attended the LaGuardia...
Did y'all see the scene at the end of Serenity when she was firing arrows? I know she's not that young anymore and her hair looks bad-ass short, but how cool would it be to see her kick ass while being sexy again?
3. Olivia Wilde
Actress | Tron
Actress and activist Olivia Wilde is a modern day renaissance woman, starring in many of Hollywood's acclaimed productions, while simultaneously giving back to the community.
Wilde was born on March 10, 1984 in New York City. Her parents are Leslie Cockburn (née Leslie Corkill Redlich) and Andrew ...
That black hair and porcelain skin, plus I loved all the movies I've seen her in so far. I know she's not the tallest or most muscular of my choices, but she has a certain something I really want to see on the big screen again and again.
Actress | The Cabin in the Woods
Kristen Connolly was born on July 12, 1980 in Montclair, New Jersey, USA as Kristen Nora Connolly. She is an actress and producer, known for The Cabin in the Woods (2012), The Happening (2008) and Meet Dave (2008).
I loved Cabin in the Woods, and although she played demure and semi-virginal well, I think she can do a lot more, plus she has those big blue-green eyes. Fun Fact: several years ago, Joss Whedon had written a script for a Wonder Woman film. Too bad Marvel has him now.
Actress | Jurassic World
Bryce Dallas Howard was born on March 2, 1981, in Los Angeles, California. She was conceived in Dallas, Texas (the reason for her middle name). Her father, Ron Howard, is a former actor turned Oscar-winning director. Her mother is actress and writer Cheryl Howard (née Alley). Her famous relatives ...
I admit I haven't always liked the roles Ms. Howard chooses, and it'd be a shame to cover up her red hair with black, but if Amy Adams can be Lois Lane (Man of Steel) without going dark, maybe anything is possible.
6. Lynn Collins
Actress | X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Viola Lynn Collins was born in Houston, Texas, to Patricia Lynn (Campbell) and Phillip Dean Collins. She attended the Juilliard School for Drama and had a great deal of Shakespearean training before being cast as "Portia" in "The Merchant of Venice". She also played "Ophelia" in a production of "...
She played a very similar role and totally looked the part in John Carter. Unfortunately, Marvel seems to have her tied up already with the Wolverine sequel. Maybe she's sick of playing all those "strong female characters" in comic book movies?
Actress | Texas Chainsaw 3D
Alexandra Anna Daddario was born on March 16, 1986 in New York City, New York, to Christina, a lawyer, and Richard Daddario, a prosecutor. Her brother is actor Matthew Daddario, and her grandfather was congressman Emilio Daddario (Emilio Q. Daddario), of Connecticut. She has Italian, Irish, ...
Like Alexis Knapp, only taller, more athletic and somehow even more breath-taking, she rocks the goddess vibe. But I think she may be too young and too inexperienced of an actress to portray such an icon.
8. Ashley Wood
Actress | Argo
Ben Affleck, the writer/ director/ star of "Argo" may be the man responsible for making this fresh face a famous one, and he's been in talks to direct the Justice League movie. Plus, she's crazy tall and has the long dark hair that Diana of Themescara is known for.
9. Alexis Knapp
Actress | Pitch Perfect
Alexis Merizalde Knapp hails from Allegheny in Pennsylvania. She worked as a model before breaking into acting, starting with small roles in Couples Retreat (2009) and Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010). She also came to public attention during a high-profile relationship...
Just look at that face! Strong, sexy, statuesque, and already in one nerdy goddess role. She has the right coloring and height to pull off the red white and blue body suit.
10. Ruth Wilson
Actress | Locke
Ruth Wilson, born on 13 January 1982, is an English actress. She is known for her performances in Suburban Shootout (2006), Jane Eyre (2006), and as "Alice Morgan" in the BBC-TV psychological crime drama, Luther (2010), since 2010. She has also appeared in Anna Karenina (2012), The Lone Ranger (...
She's a bit older than most of the picks on this list, but maybe WW needs that air of sophistication and grace. She's also not quite as tall or buff as I'd like my super-heroine to be, but she can definitely act!
11. Leelee Sobieski
Actress | 88 Minutes
Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski was born June 10, 1983 in New York City, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth Sobieski (née Salomon), a writer, and Jean Sobieski, a painter who has also acted. She has a younger brother, Robert. Her father, born in France, is of Polish and Swiss ...
I love how regal and clear-eyed she is. She manages to be pretty and cute and kind of serious all at the same time. Strong enough to play Joan D'arc, but maybe not the right person for the Amazonian Princess.
12. Rachel Hurd-Wood
Actress | Peter Pan
Rachel Clare Hurd-Wood is an English actress and model, best known for her roles as Wendy Darling in Peter Pan (2003), Corrie McKenzie in Tomorrow, When the War Began (2010), and Sibyl Vane in Dorian Gray (2009). She was born on 17 August 1990 in the Streatham district of South London, England, as ...
I don't know if this (now grown up) child star still acts, but I sure hope so. She's one of the youngest ladies on my list, but if nothing has changed from the early 2000's Peter Pan (she played Wendy Darling exquisitely), then she is also one of the most talented.
13. Grace Holley
Actress | Shroud
Honestly, I've never heard of her. I've never seen her act. I just think she's stunningly beautiful and looks like she could kick some ass.
14. Julia Voth
Actress | Package Deal
Julia Voth (born May 16, 1985) is a Canadian-born American actress and model. She starred alongside America Olivo and Erin Cummings' in the action film Bitch Slap (2009), playing down-on-her-luck stripper named Trixie. The film went to The Cannes International Film Festival and The Toronto ...
She is drop-dead gorgeous and from her resume, not afraid of anything, though she may be relegated to the b-list for a reason. Again, I only have looks to go off of.
