Sort of a modern day Cuckoo's Nest, with a little Zack humor thrown in. Liked the theme music that was also heard at the end of fight club.

Director: James Watkins | Stars: Daniel Radcliffe, Janet McTeer, Ciarán Hinds, Emma Shorey

Movie relied WAy TOO MUCH on cheap scare thrills such as ominous music, and people, animals, and birds coming out of nowhere. Daniel Radcliffe proved to be a convincing actor outside of the Potter realm.

I like the coolness of the male character, how he drinks to excess and never gets rattled.

"This *beep* is black",,,a random line from a bartender that I found so humorous. The honest guy, who told lies about smoking, came up the ultimate loser in this flick.

Director: Michael Cristofer | Stars: Antonio Banderas, Angelina Jolie, Thomas Jane, Jack Thompson

I felt a little too much empathy with this film, as it clearly shows how stupid men can be pursuing a woman obviously beautiful, yet flawed.

Director: Peter Segal | Stars: Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore, Rob Schneider, Sean Astin

Votes: 287,654 | Gross: $120.91M

Adam Sandler has that rare way of keeping his content fairly clean, and can pull of the "funny sentimental." The penguin, the walrus, and certainly the little kids of Ula would have been miserably sappy in other hands.

They made Stanton out to be quite the villian in both his rather Alexander Haig'esque rise to power after the assassination; and the way he insisted on revengeful guilt for Mary Serrat.

I must be one of the few, but in addition to finding Paris Hilton incredibly attractive for a blonde....I actually think she has some acting ability. Too bad she wasn't the girl that lasted till the end.

Director: Simon Curtis | Stars: Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Julia Ormond

Votes: 76,285 | Gross: $14.60M

Things I learned from watching Marilyn: She had a mother who was committed to an insane asylum. Her father was unknown. Her insecurities came largely from a fear of abandonment. She had a personal "yes woman" director that nobody really cared for.

Directors: Tom Tykwer, Lana Wachowski, Lilly Wachowski | Stars: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugh Grant, Hugo Weaving

Votes: 309,476 | Gross: $27.11M

Halle Berry looks best in 2012 getup. Just the fact that somebody mentioned a lot of latex in one of the reviews had me seeing latex everywhere. Shasha pointed out that it was "New Seoul" because Americans are much too afraid of the Chinese to portray anything like "New Beijing".

A man, his wife, and their friend, stage a bloody bank robbery, unaware they are stealing money from the Mob.

Director: Don Siegel | Stars: Walter Matthau, Joe Don Baker, Felicia Farr, Andrew Robinson

Votes: 8,701

Getting more from a bank heist can be a bad thing if the mob had put "cleaned money" there first. It was funny to watch folks talk about altering passports and the like; seems a near impossibility in this post 9-11 world. Walter Matthau was quite the dashing figure back in the day.

Director: Émile Gaudreault | Stars: Luke Kirby, Peter Miller, Ginette Reno, Paul Sorvino

I got more of an appreciation why Paul seems to abhor gays so much after watching this film. I don't necessarily believe it's all homophobia. I do believe he would get a chuckle from watching this, however.

Director: Alison Maclean | Stars: Billy Crudup, Robert Michael Kelly, Torben Brooks, Dierdre Lewis

Votes: 6,471 | Gross: $1.28M

Jack Black was a nice addition, and the film went downhill with his absence from the screen. It was an interesting scene when the two drugged out pals went to a "cemetery" only to find out that it was an abandoned drive in movie theatre. Interestingly, the drive in was still projecting a film. Does this really happen?

Director: Robert Altman | Stars: Neve Campbell, James Franco, Malcolm McDowell, Barbara E. Robertson

Votes: 5,811 | Gross: $2.28M

This movie seemed like nothing more than an excuse to foist ballet onto the unsuspecting public. It is interesting how an actor (Malcolm McDowell) can get typecast. He played the exact same role in a Monk episode.

Votes: 5,975 | Gross: $0.02M

I kept waiting for a scene of a mine exploding, since much was made during the film about how there were literally thousands of mines in the Afghani desert. If there were ever a case to be made about how religion is simply a means of gaining control of a people....this movie and the Taliban version of Islam is certainly the poster child.

So good, that I saw it twice. Once, with Stephanie on Thanksgiving Day Eve, and once with Shasha about one week earlier. Interesting in that Andrew Johnson never appears, or never gets mentioned. Schuyler Colfax ---> Speaker of the House Alexander Stephens ---> Vice President of the Confederacy
