Reanimated corpses, detached heads, headless bodies. Major blood and guts! Stewart Gordon's ultimate comedy of horrors, with the great Jeffery Combs and of course the sexy Barbara Crampton!

The Return of the Living Dead (1985)

Another comedy horror, from some of the original &quot;Night&quot; people. Hysterical parody of the zombie films. Most people today like &quot;Shawn of the Dead&quot;, and forget about this one. Zombies run, and talk and cast is insane. Great punk rock soundtrack too. I saw this in Chicago when it first opened on a double bill with &quot;Re-Animator&quot;, the audience was screaming with delight, so was I.

Forbidden Zone (1982)

Created by Richard and Danny Elfman of &quot;Oingo Boingo&quot; fame. This is a B&W musical made to show what the Mystic Knights show was all about. A bizarre fantasy trip with Herve Villechaize and Susan Tyrell as king and queen of the fifth dimension with a frog butler, topless princess, chicken boy, and machine gunning teacher. This one is addicting for all the wrong reasons, except the music!

Zeisters (1986)

Well, I know this one by another title. &quot;Fat Guy Goes Nutsoid&quot; It's the story of a drug dealer and his brother who works at a camp for retarded adults. The drug dealer gets out on parole, and decides to stay with his brother at the camp. The adults at the camp get a hold of his drugs and freak out, (yes),the camp leader finds out what happened and fires the brother. Upon leaving they discover that one of the retarded adults has escaped, and is following them. They try to get rid of this guy, they call him the &quot;Mooka&quot;, but wherever they go, he follows. This movie is freakin' hilarious for all the wrong reasons, including puking, dancing at a club, and crashing a wedding. Made by the Troma team, who made &quot; The Toxic Avenger&quot; among others. I can't even imagine what the budget was!

Redneck Zombies (1989)

Another &quot;no budget&quot; silly flick from the Troma team. A group of campers get mixed up with a bunch of rednecks who's still fills with toxic sludge and turns the whole family into flesh eating zombies. This one has no redeeming value. The cast does seem to be enjoying themselves tho, maybe there was a working still on the set. Highlights include a old woman and her pet pig, an LSD trip, and a visit by the Tobacco man. Crazy, but fun party flick!

From Beyond (1986)

Another one from director Stewart Gordon. I remember him from his early days in Chicago at the Organic Theater. Jeffery Combs again at his crazy best. This one has it all, sex, shock, and satire!!! This one adapted from the macabre works of HP Lovecraft (as was Reanimator).<br/>The resonator is a machine created by a doctor, which can control the sixth sense. It kills the doctor, and investigators arrive to find out what happened. It can't be shut off, and effects everyone who encounters it. Featuring Dawn of the Dead's Ken Foree, and a sexy in leather, Barbara Crampton. This is a wild one!

The Omega Man (1971)

One of my favorite Charlton Heston films that he made in the early 1970's. A remake of Vincent Price's The Last Man on Earth, and Richard Matheson's, I Am Legend. Heston is Neville, a survivor of a plague ridden world. Stalked by the family, people who were spawned by the plague, he meets Lisa, another survivor, (played by Rosalind Cash) who guards some healthy children, humanity's only hope for survival. Co-starring Anthony Zerbe as the leader of the family. Heston makes this one work, cool flick!

Soylent Green (1973)

Heston hits the Sci- Fi genre again with this one, a futuristic thriller about over-population gone bad, in the year 2022. Heston is Thorne, a detective trailing a murderer, which leads to a shocking conclusion. Again, Heston gets to say another famous last movie line, which will always be remembered. Soylent Green is........With Joseph Cotten , Chuck Connors, and Edward G. Robinson, in his last screen appearance.

Logan's Run (1976)

I saw this one at the theater when I was eleven. I didn't think I would ever get over it. It really got to me then, I still love it today. It's set in the year 2274, where everything is perfect, until you reach lastday. That's when you have your 30th birthday, and must attend Carrousel, to reach your rebirth, unless you decide to run instead. Logan 5 is Michael York, a sandman who pursues runners to terminate them. Logan is approaching 30 himself. Cool special effects and one of the first to use Dolby Surround sound. It won a special achievement award for visual effects. Farrah Fawcett's first screen appearance. This is a fun movie to watch, especially in today's world of CGI effects.
